Go at least a half size up if not a whole. These shoes feel great, look great and go with almost every outfit. They just run a little smaller. I have narrow feet sz 8 sometimes 8.5 got a 9 and they fit perfectly.

My Merrell low hikers have been my go to daily shoe because they go anywhere,. But a friend referred to them as boots, she liked my boots in a pic. I realized I needed something not quite do bold for just walking about daily. That brought me to the New Balance shoe and I wanted black. All the Merrells' are mostly multi color. I liked how the New Balance did not draw attention to my feet. I don't usually wear black pants but I just ordered a pair to see the "look". These New Balance have a pad at the back of the heel that seem to make them perfect grip no slip heels. I plan to wear them daily. Lightweight Not clunky noisy about the house. This is my 3rd pair of Energize V3. They are lightweight, comfortable and fit well. You hardly know you are wearing them. I wash them in washing machine and air dry.

I wear these for work and while they're really comfortable to stand in, the treads are already starting to peel off on the edges and I've had them for only a few months. The color is cute, but it does show dirt
