Let me tell you that I am hard to fit, have a wide foot with a high arch and multiple foot issues including recent Achilles surgery and plantar fasciitis. I’ve tried on and owned an obscene amount of shoes and can never find anything that doesn’t flare up my fasciitis after even a gentle short walk. I wore these to the airport and had an extremely tight connection between flights. I’m amazed to say that I had no pain in the arches, soles or heels of my feet after that crazy speed walk! The cushioning is seriously next level. I feel like I’m walking on bouncy clouds. I wore these all day every day for a week long vacation almost right out of the box with no blisters or break in needed. They fit me in my normal size of 9.5 wide. The little tab at the back of the heel is so cushioned that it feels just great with zero rubbing and no hard edges. There’s no doubt in my mind I’ll be buying these on repeat when they finally wear out. Like I said, I’ve tried them all including Hokas and I will swear by these til the day I die. The color is gorgeous and goes with everything. They do show dirt easily, but that’s to be expected when you buy a light colored shoe. These are super super light too. ... show more

I love to walk 4-5 miles. Due to plantar fasciitis and arthritis at the base of my toes I had to stop walking for a month. I did have cortisone shots which relieved my pain I didn’t trust my old walking shoes. These New Balance running shoes solved my problems. I’m now back to walking. The wide toe box gives my toes wiggle room and the firm heel cup gives me the support I need. I did use my Sweet Feet inserts to give me more arch support. I’m in love with these shoes! That being said, I did have a problem with sizing. I purchased my regular size 8.5 and they were much too tight. I then ordered size 9 which still felt a big tight so I then ordered a 9 wide. Which was too big. I worn the size 9’s around the house for a few days and finally settled on the size 9. The original size 8.5 came directly from Amazon so no problem returning. The size 9 wide was a third party seller. Free return on both but the third party seller’s had to be returned to UPS which is more involved with packaging. They are pricey but so worth it for me! One of the best fitting most comfortable walking shoes I've ever had. Tried them on at a store and loved the fit and cushion then. But they didn't have the color I wanted, so the variety online is great. I plan to get another pair in a different color. I had been wearing another pair of favorite shoes for 7 years, until my gym trainer discovered it. He said I really had to get new shoes for the sake of my feet, my posture, my back, and overall balance. Once I changed shoes, I felt the difference. New Balance 1080 is my go to shoe. I love the way it fits my foot. I have normal to slightly narrow feet and my feet don't slide around in this shoe. The cushion in the heel is just the right amount and the shoe is lightweight making me feel like I'm gliding instead of walking. I average about 3 miles a day and usually need to replace my shoes at the 6 month point. By that time the tread was worn and the cushion had decreased noticeably but the shoe itself still looked good! ... show more

I am a lifetime runner and these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever purchased. They are light and breathe. I live in Florida, and it is important that the shoes are breathable, which they are. I do size up in these shoes as the fit seems a tad bit small. I am a size 8 women’s and I get a 8.5 in these. The quality is good but just like with every running shoe, you will need to replace after about 300 miles. I love the style and look of these shoes, a lot better than other brands that look like Dino stompers. They are easy to get on and off, but I untie my shoes every time. ... show more
