I've run a half marathon, a 5k, a 15k and I've been training for another half marathon on these. I have very flat feet that cause pain in my knees if they aren't well supported. I cannot emphasize enough how perfect these shoes are for me. I do get an additional arch support specifically for runners but the structure of these shoes is really supportive beyond what arch supports provide alone. This version felt a little weird at first because it somewhat feels like your heel is going to come out of them, but they never did for me and I don't notice that feeling any more. My friend has the same pair and she is still a little bothered by it, but her heel has never actually come out either. They have a lot of cushion, which also is a relief on knees and ankles. I have worn this same model year after year and just get the newer version. I recently learned that this is not good long term on your body and you need to mix it up. So, I'm having a personal crisis trying to pick a new shoe instead of this one. I really love these shoes!

This is my third pair of the specific shoe in the last 2 years. They are amazing shoes with great arch support. However, they are not the most durable in the heel. The heel (behind your foot not on the bottom) has deteriorated leading me to buy a new pair. But I continue to buy them because I love them on my feet.

This brand and exact style is my favorite tennis shoe choice. Make note- this exact style… I have a small but fairly wide foot and I also have a leg length discrepancy. The wide width gives me room for the leg lift insert. The show is just a good product.

My feet hurt so bad it was hard to walk but these shoes made it possible to walk without much pain. I walk on gravel I live out in the country this shoe helped me so much. I ordered a size 7.5 which is my normal size and the shoes fit perfectly . Will buy again

I haven’t worn these many miles at all and the traction on the bottom is just about all smooth. I am only a 5k runner, and only started back running recently so definitely not heavy use. With that being said I have had ZERO back and hip pain which tells me they work. So I am torn, wishing the bottom of the shoe didn’t wear down so quickly!

My husband and I both have been wearing the new balance fresh foam 1080 shoes for years. We walk 4-6 miles every day and this is our absolute favorite shoe. It does not take very long to break in and the cushion is amazingly comfortable. They are pricey but totally worth it. If I find the older versions like this one 1080v11 versus the 1080v12, then I buy them because there is little difference. They run on the narrow side and I usually wear a 7 1/2 shoe size but had to go to a size 8 on this shoe.

Pros: The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. The shoe remains comfortable even after it's seen better days. Cons: The sole doesn't last long and wears down quickly. I'm still a fan, though I wish they could find a way to make the sole last longer.

Very soft inside, and the outside lets air in the shoe. Very different from Nike. As I won't ever be going back to Nike. Also, my left toe nail on the second toe doesn't get bruised with New Balance. This is my first pair of NB running shoes. I selected these because I was looking for more cushion and heel support. Not sure these have any extra cushion even though the heel foam looks thicker. If you have narrow feet, you know the problem of trying to find running shoes. You basically have 3 shoes - Asics GT, Brooks Ghost, and these NB. Of those brands, these feel wider in the toe box, maybe too wide. Of course, I loop the last hole and cross tie to keep heel slippage to a minimum (see images), and they do seem to fit in the heel ok with that, but again, wider than what I’m used to. If you have high arches, these have the least arch support of the three. I’m likely to go back to Brooks for my next pair, as I think they have the best arch support. I use these to run and walk, and put about 35 walking miles and maybe 4-8 running miles per week on shoes.
