The first pair I ordered was a 7 1/2 D wide. I went up a size because I wanted to add my supportive orthotic insole. They were VERY wide and too big even with a sports orthotic insole. I sent them back and got a 7DD at a local wide foot store, after the salesperson measured my foot and told me I was a DD width. Not so. Tried to wear them with my orthotic and my heel slid all over the place. Tried cinching them down with a "runner's" tie, but they still wouldn't work on the court. I took them back and found out that the Wide Foot Store" doesn't carry a "D" (single wide width). Now I know why they sold me the DD. Aaagggghhhhh! Third time was the charm....these shoes are hard to find in women's 7D, so I tried again from Amazon Prime. This time they showed up in a couple days and are the perfect fit with my favorite orthotic. I love them so much I hate to take them off. Corrects my over-pronation. Gives me sure-footed stability and support on the court. No toe jam or inflamed bunion. I highly recommend to any woman who has foot and knee problems. FYI*** Just buy your regular size and add your favorite orthotic insert, since they come with a flimsy flat piece of nothing inside that removes easily. These shoes have a roomy toe box even in regular M. Expensive, but worth every penny in comfort and durability.

I ordered these in both 5.5 and 6 M, as those are my usual sizes in shoes. I have a pair of New Balance running shoes in a 6 M, and those are more narrow and short than it seems New Balance shoes for tennis. I had ordered another style of New Balance shoes for tennis before this, in a 6 M assuming they'd fit the same as my running shoes of the same brand, and found that New Balance for tennis ran both longer and wider in the toe area. These shoes fit well in Size 5.5 for me. They are wider than I'd like (I don't like loose shoes, and I'm somewhat afraid that being leather they'll widen over time), but they fit well now, comfortable right out of the box, and they seem very well made, have a lot of support, and are very classy-looking shoes.

This is the second pair of these court NB tennis shoes I've bought on line, which can be tricky for getting the right fit! They're very comfortable and the durability and comfort is what has me coming back for another pair! They provide excellent lateral support when playing tennis, and the high arch support makes them the perfect shoe for all day treks to zoo, Sea World, etc. They are very light weight, and I especially like the great comfort that you feel right out of the box! No break in time needed!

These shoes run both narrow and short! I cannot believe I used to get these shoes all the time years ago and in AA (narrow) width. I ordered a couple of different pairs of shoes via Amazon and they came together. I tried these on first and they were so so so bad. They have such a small toe box. Even though my big toe already angles somewhat towards my other toes, when I put my feet into these shoes, my big toe was rubbing up against the side of the toe box and didn't even have room to point straight! And, these shoes definitely run small, as in short. I had no room in the front for my foot to move or slide forward at all. I knew they would be bad as soon as I put them on my feet, so I packaged them back up and I am returning them. So, warning, they run both narrow and short. Order at least a half size bigger if you can.

I had to send the first one back because it was not true to size, but the second pair is wonderful, when I wear them they feel really good on my feet! It feel as if when I wear them the comfort and the stability that I have when I am walking and standing for periods of time. Make sure unless your feet are narrow, you buy a bigger size!

Shopping for athletic shoes is a nightmare for me because I have a wide foot and a high instep. My go-to brand over the years has been Saucony, but they don’t really make court shoes. I tried a dozen court shoes of different brands and even ordered several pairs of D-width, without success. These were so highly rated, I thought I’d give them a shot. They are very stiff leather (I hoped they’d soften up) and seemed wide enough, although there was no “AAAAH” moment when I first put them on (that should have been a warning). In my desperation, I’ve worn them a few times to play, but ended up with discomfort in the balls of my feet within about an hour, tingling of toes and two blisters-one on the ball of one foot and the other on the heel. They feel a bit “overpadded” and “underfitted”. For the price, I expected a better shoe.
