Who would have thought that Amazon would sell exactly what I needed and was looking for? I recently purchased these “New Balance Women's 608 V5 Casual Comfort Cross Trainer” for walking. These sneakers are extremely comfortable. I was very satisfied that Amazon had the New Balance sneakers in a wide width. I am very pleased at their excellent quality and their good arch support. The fit of these sneakers is outstanding and they feel like they are tailored for my feet. I am susceptible to foot discomfort if I walk too much so comfort and support are everything. The sneakers do have a lot of strength and stability. They do run true to size and are a great value for money. This is my third pair of New Balance 608 V5 trainers, and after trying a different color last time (pink), I'm happy to be back to the blue version. My previous blue pair lasted for two years and was incredibly comfortable. The pink pair wasn't quite the same- the leather felt stiffer and never really broke in as well- so I decided to return to what worked. Based on an Amazon review mentioning that the toe box could run a bit narrow, I again ordered the wide width and I'm glad I did. The fit is excellent and feels almost custom-made for my feet. As a woman in her 60s who is prone to foot pain if I walk too much, comfort and support are everything. These shoes, along with the insoles they come with, allow me to walk, hike, and stay active without the aches and pains I've experienced in other trainers. I've spent considerably more on athletic shoes over the years, but these are the pair I come back to. They're comfortable right out of the box, supportive without feeling heavy, and priced surprisingly well for the quality. The shoes are wonderful. A lot of them say they are perfect for being on your feet all day, I am still breaking them in so I can't attest to that. But I love them all the same. I normally a size 8, and I got a size 8 and they fit perfect.

Haven't wore them all day yet but do not run small, which I love. Having wide feet I sometimes have trouble especially with leather but these are nice and comfy will review again after wearing.

These are extremely well made sneakers, true to size, they feel durable and they don’t feel cheap in the slightest. I bought a 10.5 which is my normal size. They are nice and wide so my tailors bunions can stretch. The depth of the sneaker is also nice, i feel like orthotics can fit in there nicely. The insole is more firm than it is soft, but i think it is structurally still comfy on the foot. There is a nice little padding somewhere that cushions my tailors bunion nicely from what I feel. Make sure you give them a good bend before putting them on to help break them in, otherwise you may have a tough time walking like I did. Don’t put them on when you're late to work like I did, my calves felt like they were getting worked out lol. I’ll report back a week into breaking them in. But from the looks of it, i want to get these in more colors. 💖 ... show more

I wear them for the gym, long walks, and everyday errands, and they’ve held up beautifully — supportive, cushioned, and never once gave me sore feet or knees. I finally decided to get a new pair to start breaking in, but I’ll be honest — I’m still happily wearing my older pair and probably won’t part with them anytime soon. I was concerned these shoes would have a narrow toe box based on others’ reviews. I sized up a half size. I have never worn New Balance and have many pairs of Brooks Ghost. I wanted a shoe that wouldn’t get my feet wet walking in wet grass! I wore these shoes right out of the box with thin low cut socks. I had plenty of room to wiggle my toes. My heels did slip a little but I had no discomfort or blisters after a full day shopping. Size: 8.5 Wide Color: Nb 102 White/Candied Violet
These sneakers were recommended to me as a solid transition shoe as I recover from foot surgery. At 8 weeks out I could wear a size 9W which is a size larger than my normal size but allowed me to have room for swelling. I could also get my foot in and out with discomfort…nerves, yes but no rubbing or discomfort. I’m at 11 weeks out from surgery and ordered a size 8.5W - again, a good fit. Toe box is wide enough that my foot has room to move. The shoes is easy to get both on and off which is key right now. The nice price point makes is easier when I need to keep changing sizes. I do think they run TTS as I was an 8.5 (39/39.5) prior to surgery so I’m back where things started. I could probably get into a medium width but for now I like the added space and comfort. It means I can wear them all day even when my foot begins to swell a bit. The shoe is comfortable to wear, has good traction, a thick sole and doesn’t look too clunky or orthopedic. It has a retro feel and goes well with shorts, athletic wear, pants and some skirts. Overall, I like the sneakers. I’m not a huge fan of trainers but these have a little style and I’m happy to have found them. ... show more
