I always buy New Balance trail runners, because they fit my feet exactly right, and they provide good support for my supinated feet. The previous version of these trail runners were great, so after I wore them out, I bought the newer model. These don’t provide quite as much support as the previous ones. It’s a matter of degree, but it’s noticeable to me. That said, they still fit well and feel great for the most part. I don’t actually run anymore, but I walk a LOT and do so on a variety of surfaces. I’m also a heel striker, so running shoes work well for me. Because these work well for supinated feet (i.e., feet that roll outward), these shoes will likely not offer sufficient arch support for people who need it. I always buy a half-size up from street-shoe size in NB shoes. I’m reasonably happy with these shoes, but I don’t think they’re quite as good as before. ... show more

I love New Balance sneakers and these are the right size. However, my feet have either become more sensitive or the insole isn't as supportive as the ones in past pairs. I'm going to try them around the apartment, but am afraid this won't be enough to get the real feel. I don't wear things outside and then try to return them. UPDATE: I've decided to keep these and use socks with better cushioning or get different insoles. The deal for these was really good and the size is perfect ... show more

I really love these inexpensive, lightweight trail running shoes. I’m not a runner but use them on my walks on uneven pavement, gravel trails and through grassy areas. Initially, when I first tried them on I thought there wasn’t sufficient arch support but my feet feel good after wearing the shoes for a few hours. I recommend going up a half size though. I’m typically a solid size 8 in most athletic shoe brands but with most New Balance, I tend to need need a half size bigger. These were no one exception.
