I had a pair of these in medium from NB and they were just slightly a bit too tight. Bought this pair in a Large and they're just slightly too big. The cell phone sleeve on the undershorts sits kinda lower than normal 2-1 shorts so it moves a bit more than if the pocket was up on your hip. Thus, when the shorts are too loose, it causes the phone to move around a bit when running which is slightly uncomfortable. It all depends on your thighs though. I bought these for myself because the womens version are just made to be short and less functional unlike the mens here. They always make womens workout clothes to look sexy or be short but that’s not functional. I needed shorts with longer liners that wouldn’t ride up for very long distance runs like 100 milers, these work great. Nothing rides up for me. No weird thigh rubs. The mens shorts have different waist sizes and the liners stay the same length and for women the liners are way too short and rise up as I run but also are shorter if your waist size is small. My waist is about /7-28, I love these because they stay put, I am 5’3 Female, 128 pounds and got a medium and they fit perfectly. I’m just sad that new balance won’t make women’s liners in their shorts universally the same length like they do for the mens why not? The only other thing I wish is that there was a side zip pocket there’s one above the butt area in waist and one on the side of the liners but I’d love side pockets on the shorts with a zip closure. ... show more

These fit perfectly and even give me a little bit of extra room to breathe. The compression lining does run a little bit longer however; meaning that it hangs a bit lower than the shorts so it sticks out a bit. But overall these are super comfortable to wear. They are elastic and can be stretched for bigger thighs, however the waist section is not really able to stretch. It stays fit and tight and doesn't give much room to tuck in a muscle shirt or tank top, etc. I can move, run, weight lift perfectly with these. These don't have any pockets except for the small zip pocket in the back at the waist. This is just small enough to store a key or two and maybe some cards and cash for when you're on the go. But otherwise not good enough to carry a cell phone. Color is great, fit around the thighs and glutes is good (besides the waist not being as elastic as I wanted). The compression feels very comfortable too but only downfall is that it stretches a little bit lower than I want, so it shows off too much. ... show more

I paired this with New Balance Men's Q Speed Fuel Short Sleeve when I worked out and they ended up being the perfect pair to keep me cool and comfortable while jogging. Zip closure on the back to hold your phone. Wicks moisture away from the body to keep you cooler. I wash with Tide original powder with cold water and gain scent boosters and tumble dry on low/med heat. I did not notice that shorts had any shrinkage or issues with color fading or grabbing other colors. The shorts features really great stitching and no issues so far.
