  • Fits Great, Looks Great-ish, Feels Great
Size: 13 X-Wide Color: White/Black/Castlerock
New Balance has always been my first choice shoe because, unlike Nike and some others, they understand that feet come in different widths, including 4E!!! Fit is perfect, and the shoe is very supportive for all-day wear. It has been designed for walking, not court, and you can feel the difference. Wish the design were just a little more toned down but comfort overrides optics. The way they have designed the toe graphics doesn't scream "GUNBOATS" with my 13 4E feet. Very happy with the purchase and actually went back to buy another color 1 week later. ... show more

  • Clouds for Your Feet
Size: 15 Color: White/Black/Castlerock
These New Balance sneakers are stupid comfortable — like, “I might start jogging just to have an excuse to wear them more” comfortable. Slip them on and suddenly walking to the mailbox feels like a luxury activity. The cushioning is perfect: soft enough that your feet feel hugged, but supportive enough that you’re not sinking into marshmallows. The fit is spot-on, no weird pinching, no break-in blisters — just instant comfort straight out of the box. I honestly thought sneakers were sneakers until I put these on. Now every other pair of shoes I own feels like medieval torture devices. If you see me wearing dress shoes at a wedding, just know I’m secretly wishing I had these on instead. ... show more

  • Pretty good, but I like Adrenalines better, even for walking
Size: 15 Wide Color: Black/Team Red/Silver
I usually wear Brooks Adrenaline for walking, but for a while in 2024 I couldn't find any in my size, so I tried these New Balance walkers. They were pretty good, but I still prefer the Adrenalines. The slope on the NB sole is less, so it took a while to adjust my stride. They didn't fit my feet as well, were too wide around the midsole. The tough rubber on the bottom seems to be thinner, it wore out faster. I did like the fabric on the top. It seems to be more water resistant and tougher than what Brooks uses. The soles were nice and cushy. ... show more

  • Made in Vietnam, but A Good Shoe
Size: 11.5 X-Wide Color: Black/Team Red/Silver
Pretty nice walking shoes. I have been walking about two weeks now in these shoes. No issues with anything. They have held up so far, are comfortable on 5 mile walks and look good too. A little expensive for a shoe that is made in Vietnam, but other than that, a good shoe for workout walking.

  • Well designed
Size: 11 Wide Color: Nb Navy/Thirty Watt/White
I have been purchasing another popular brand of running shoes for many years and since my running days are behind me, I decided to try New Balance walking shoes. Many of my friends, who walk as much as I do, swear by NB. I take advantage of Amazon's "try before you buy" with clothing items and shoes. Since this item was available I decided to try them first. I received them yesterday, 2/4/24. Immediately, I noticed the difference in comfort and fit. I am 75 years young, I need both comfort and support in my shoes/sneakers and these deliver on both. I wear custom arch supports as well and sometimes certain brands do not accommodate them, however, these NB's do. In fact I do not even know that my supports are in these walking shoes. I usually wear a 10 - 10.5 regular depending on the brand. Amazon recommended this size (11 wide), however, I thought the 11 wide would be too big so I ordered a 10.5 wide. They were too tight, especially when I used my arch supports. I returned those and ordered the 11 wide and the fit is amazing. I am now a New Balance devotee! ... show more

  • Narrower than listed width, very poor comfort, poorly manufactured
Size: 10 X-Wide Color: Black/Team Red/Silver
Item: New Balance 626 V2 Men's Size: 10 XX-Wide Status: Returned Recommendation: Not recommended Detail: How New Balance has gone down hill over the years. The last decent shoe I had from New Balance was the discontinued 847 V4. However, this review is for is for the 626 V2. The length is spot on. However, the width is not XX-Wide. I would venture its more like X-Wide at best. The shoe is also uncomfortable because of the poor width and limited toe room. Nike and Adidas have always focused on athletes with long and narrow feet. They have also charged a premium for their athlete branded shoes. New Balance used to be a shoe company that targeted those of us with wider feet, I'd say about 50% of the population. They also were reasonably priced, well engineered, and well manufactured. Fast forward to today. New Balance has forgotten about us 50% of the population. It is oddly targeting Nike and Adidas customers, at roughly 80% of the cost and 50% of the quality. Seriously, you will see multiple glue marks at the seams. If I had a narrow foot I'd buy Nike rather than New Balance as New Balance isn't in/cool/hip/radical/etc and never will be without Jordan/LaBron/etc and Nike quality design/build. It amazing New Balance is still in business. I will never purchase another New Balance shoe again and encourage those with wider feet to consider APIS, Drew, Propet, or Skechers as they are more like what New Balance used to be, especially Propet. ... show more

  • New Balance has better options
Size: 11 Wide Color: Black/Team Red/Silver
Size 11wide - The whole shoe is still very narrow, with a surprising lack of room in the toebox. That is reason enough for me to send them back, but the ride wasn't even comfortable enough for me to reconsider. I happened to also buy New Balance's 520 v9 at the same time, and while that wide version was a MUCH better fit, it was still tight enough on my big toe (pointed toe) that i have to send them back. That said, however, the 520 v9 was a far more comfortable shoe, and for that reason i will actually being trying those again in a size up hoping for a good fit. The overall fit and comfort of these Walkers simply isn't worth another try. ... show more

  • Very comfy stabile feeling shoe
Size: 14 Wide Color: Nb Navy/White/Neo Flame
Had been wearing the 993 as my "daily drivers" last couple years. Wanted something w alittle more "squish" to the sole without giving up the stabilty the 993 offers. I tried SEVERAL NB's and couple Nike running shoes mostly. Many of them had more squish comfort to them but most made me feel less stable (I have bad hips w nerve damage in one so my gates not what it used to be). These were by far the most comfy I tried while still feeling really stable. Alittle more comfy in the sole then the 993 and almost the same stability. MUCH lighter then the 993's but not quite as light as some the newest "runners". Will buy again for sure! ... show more
