First off, I'm a shoe nerd. I admit it. Growing up my Dad would buy us only 𝙏𝙃𝙀 cheapest shoes he could find. They were so bad that we'd wear them out in a couple of months and I should be honest, I am not hard on my shoes, either (my older brother was a different story). Didn't make a difference. My Dad would rather buy us a pair of new shoes for $20 every couple months rather than spend $35 on ONE pair that would last at least a year (if not more). As a result, when I finally got a job and could buy my own, I had quite a collection. A habit I continue to this day. With that in mind, within the last year I've purchased 2 other pairs of New Balance trail running shoes which were (at that time) the most comfortable pairs of shoes I had ever purchased. Since then I bought a pair of Brooks Ghost Max which replaced those as the most comfortable pair of shoes I had ever owned. The Fresh Foam X have now replaced (by a slim margin) my Brooks for sheer comfort. I don't really run, but I DO an awful lot of hiking and walking. So strict comfort is pretty important to me. These shoes are simply brilliant in how comfortable they are. The previously mentioned New Balance Trail runners were, for a lack of a better term, had almost too much cushion. I know, how can a shoe have TOO much cushion? Well, those do...at least for me. For instance, I would never wear them for weight training, especially doing the dead lift. The cushion is SO pronounced that I'd be worried they could pull me off balance a little too easily. But then again, they aren't designed for weight lifting, so just keep that in mind. The Foam X shoes are a perfect balance between great cushion and sheer comfort. It must be hard for companies to achieve that balance without going too far but Kudo's to NB for pulling it off. The soles aren't as durable as the trail runners perhaps, but oh man are they a joy to wear. Again, since I don't run I cannot speak to how stable they'd be at doing any long/short distance running but man am I happy with mine. Overall 𝙏𝙃𝙀 most comfortable shoes I own (and I own a LOT). I am VERY satisfied with my purchase.

Went with RunRepeat rec as NB best all around cushioned shoe. Very well made with lots of toe room (15 2e) and toebox height. Have metatarsalgia and a heavy forefoot strike. Only needed metatarsal pad (my usual) but no extra insole padding. Foam conformed without break in. As nice a bounce for walking as less well made Rebel V3 and Propel V4 (with its torture plate). Felt neither heavy nor warm. Bought rated Good from warehouse but as usual was flawless.

It is hard to find wide athletic shoes, New Balance and Brooks are the only shoes that I have found that have enough room in the toe box for me. These are nice and cushioned, the soles are soft so I don't know how long they will last before the outsole wears out.

These shoes are very lightweight and very comfortable. They remind me of the first Adidas Pure Boost but with much better support. They are incredibly soft and squishy and excellent for running. I left 4 stars in my review for working out because I would not personally recommend wearing them for any stability or leg training. They are very squishy, and although they have great support while running, they are too bouncy to comfortably squat or do lunges.

I’ll start by saying that I have bad feet. I’ve had achilles surgery on one foot and may need another on the other. So walking in general just hurts. These shoes are like walking on pillows. In heel strikes I can barely feel them and that allows me to walk with confidence instead of looking at the ground finding a place to step. The shoes are roomy toe box and the lacing system is perfect. I put in my own insoles to support my arches. The insoles that came with the shoes are just standard insoles. They are a high side for running shoes but I have found you get what you pay for and in this I paid for ultimate comfort! I am buying another pair soon.

I bought these running shoes after tearing my achilles and after trying many models, these New Balance Men's Fresh Foam X More V4 Running Shoe are the best purchase I've made in a while. Although they are a little heavy compared to other running shoes, the stability, comfort, and cushion they provide made this a phenomenal running shoe. I highly recommend.
