I like to have some nice church shoes that are comfortable. I had a really old pair of Altras. I needed some new shoes and didn't want to pay up for Altras. I tried these in my normal 10.5 and had to go up a half size and got the wide too. With the wide they feel a little big but that's okay. They are super light weight. I like the style and how to the N is hidden. More over I like the price. New Balance had always been a great brand and quality shoe for the price. I probably could have gotten the wide in 10.5 but I'm likely the wider shoe. Altras are typically wider and as I get old I think my foot is getting wider. I bought the black and after I figured I liked them I bought the white. I'm not so sure how long they will last. I like the mesh and it seems like that would wear out over time. Hopefully not to soon. Highly recommend for just a normal nice wearable shoe. Would not recommend for running or work shoe. ... show more

I own multiple shoes from the New Balance Fresh Foam line, and noticed these shoes to be significantly different. The first think I noticed was less padding on the soles. The previous pairs of New balance shoes I’ve purchased had ample padding in the soles to provide the extra support I need as someone with Plantar Fasciitis. I noticed these to have a more flat sole and less arch support than other pairs. I think the shoes look great and fit well, but if you’re looking for more arch support and cushioning, these may not be the best fit. I have still worn them for roughly a month as a casual shoe, but for running/exercise I need something with more support. ... show more
