Awesome Summer Shoe – Just Watch the Sizing

Super comfy and perfect for summer – just size up! These Fresh Foam Arishi V4s are awesome for running or just walking around. They're super light, and the upper part is really thin and breathable—my feet don’t overheat at all, which is a big win in hot weather. The foam inside gives them a soft, cushy feel that makes longer runs way easier on my feet. I don’t feel that usual foot fatigue as quickly. Only downside? They run small. I’d definitely recommend going at least half a size up. Mine felt tighter than expected right out of the box. Other than that, great shoe—comfortable, light, and summer-ready.

Once broken in, there’s a hard plastic lining that bends and rubs against your foot!

GREAT fitting, comfortable shoes and the water proofing “Gore Tex” is great. HOWEVER, there’s a plastic/ hard material that runs along the shoe beneath the waterproofing/ outer layer, that after wearing for awhile and breaking the shoes in, pushes on your foot or toes, causing discomfort and pain. This is really unfortunate, because the shoes fit great and really are comfortable. I’m not sure if this is part of the water proofing system or what, as there’s really no need for this plastic between the layers of the shoes otherwise. I’ve tried everything I can think of to minimize the uncomfortableness of this issue, with zero luck. Purchase at your own risk! Looking online, I’m far from the only person having this issue with this specific model shoe, or with other New Balance shoes. Will definitely make me think twice before spending the $80 (or more) on New Balance shoes in the future.

This was an extra wide shoe purchase. My husband has very wide feet due to medical problems. We have tried so many shoes and slippers and settle for Skechers extra wide with barely ok results. This time we tried New Balance wide. What a pleasant surprise. This shoe is so much lighter and more flexible than anything we have tried. And it is so much easier to put on than any of many brands tried to date. Thank you New Balance.
