My bunions are getting pretty bad, so I opted for extra wide. Had great experience with New Balance in the past and thought I'd give these a try. They are extremely light but offer good support. I don't run any longer, but walking is much easier in these. I haven't had to change out the sock liner they conform to my feet so well. The only negative are the laces - they are on the thin side. But that's a minor issue.

These shoes fit my wide feet pretty well in the 4E size. My only complaint is that they're so completely un-water resistant, they are like sponges and soak up every ounce of water to hit your feet. Very bad choice in wet puddle environments or even the slightest rain. Besides that they are comfy and have held up well and are much less ugly than a lot of New Balance shoes

This has a very unusual front of the sneaker "arching" upwards instead of traditional "lay flat". This makes walking in them weird to uncomfortable as when you're standing still your whole foot isn't on the floor. You can feel your toes and part of the front of your foot pressed upward. So uncomfortable on the feet. Also, think too much arch. Loved New Balance wide style. Weird looking. Not flashy, but not a classic look either (mean color scheme). It's a 3 because it might fit you or be for some specific use (some kind of ultra-runner, can't think of what else) and not for general use. 1 and 2 is reserved for things wouldn't recommend to a friend. Sneakers have to fit your feet right and people have different feet (thus so many choices and different brands).

New Balance makes a versatile shoe. They are lightweight and my son say they are comfortable. I have to give New Balance points. They are one of the shoe companies that offer variety of widths and their prices for that option are reasonable. Would recommend if you have wide feet.
