Having big feet can really bite. All the cool looking footwear you want isn’t made in your size, so usually you get stuck with some grey clunkers which look like ugly boats. So I went with these, and they do the job, are comfortable, and look pretty cool.

Fits true to size, if not just a little bit on the wide side. Been wearing as a work shoe for a couple of weeks now, being mostly on my feet on hard surfaces & going up & down stairs some for 8 hours. They have good traction/grip & stability. They have a little bit of a harder sole, & not quite as much arch support compared to the classic New Balance 574, just for reference. They're still comfortable enough however. I'm not sure what the "toe protect" is though, because it's not enough material to protect your toes from much more than any other walking/running shoe would. Good value for the money.

I have sharp nails so often I wear out the top of the toe from walking before I wear out the soles. I walk 8 miles daily so put a lot of miles on them. I like walking in NB shoes, and was pleased these have the toe protector so should last longer. Fit is good (11.5) and no issues otherwise.

Toe box is stiff and tight. Got V6 in same size and width as previous 4 pair of V5s. Tight/stiff toe box makes them feel smaller. Instead of a patch of leather for a toe kick, the mesh is impregnated with solid rubber or plastic. Less cost, less comfortable. The block soles are flatter, which is good in my opinion, but they have less "waffle" than before if that's important. I like the NB brand. I don't like saving money at the cost of comfort. They are light weight for a rough country running shoe. Durability unknown, but V5 durability was excellent. Except as noted, fit properly and are less comfortable than previous NBs right out of the box.

They look nice, well put together New Balance shoes of which I've had several different pair over the years. My issue is with the width. I ordered what I believe should have really wide, the sewn in label proclaims 4E but they seem somewhat less. I think the real problem for me lies in trying to purchase shoes online. I've not had good luck in this endeavor. I've returned a couple pairs that were way off but I'm hopeful these being what they are might easily "break in" and become more user friendly... I like them very much, I'd just like them to be comfortable.
