This New Balance shoe is a great choice for a shoe. My son easily does 10,000 steps each day between work, workout and life. This shoe offers support and is durable. As a diabetic he has to take extra care of his feet. This shoe allows for his prescribed orthotics in comfort. He is a 13 4E - this is his shoe of choice for good foot health, comfort and stability.

I normally wear a 10 wide, so I ordered a 10.5 wide, lengthwise it was OK but way too tight width-wise. Returned for a X-wide. These shoes seem to run at least a 1/2 size small and are very narrow. So "wide" is normal width and if you need a wide, order x-wide. They are very lightweight. The sole is a fairly rugged industrial firm plastic/ rubber with an aggressive tread pattern, grip is good even on wet and oily surfaces (commercial kitchen). The upper is man made, no natural materials anywhere. Has a dimpled appearance but is solid, not perforated so they are spill proof, probably not "water-proof". The material is very thin and flexible but also very strong, some type of industrial vinyl reinforced by fiber. There is very little if any stretch or flex in the upper material. Very little cushioning or support under your foot, the liners feel thin and very firm. The arch support is OK but not great. So if you're using these as work shoes, plan on getting some good firm cushioned insoles and maybe size up even more to make room for them. No idea on how long they'll last, if they fail early I'll update this review.

My size is a 10.5 B and New Balance is the only exercise shoe I find that comes in a narrow width. I also require good arch support. Unfortunately, the company no longer makes my favorite cross-trainer, the #624 and the 623 model does not come in a narrow width. Therefore I bought the Men's 806 V1 Tennis Shoe in 10.5 B. The shoe is a bit more expensive but is a nice looking shoe and appears to be made very well. The shoe fits perfectly according to size and has good arch support. Although it is a "tennis shoe" I think it will work nicely for all my exercise routines. Received the shoes in "new" condition, well packaged and arrived earlier than expected. Very pleased with my purchase and would recommend.

I bought a pair of these NB 806 sneakers December 2017 and wore a 2E and it was comfortable and I had no problems. I ordered a 4E October 2020 (based on previous experience with my NB MC1006) and the fit is too tight even to the point it has made my toes bleed while playing pickleball. I HATE THIS SNEAKER!!!! New Balance is not making their sneakers the same way they used to. How do I know this you ask, I still have my old sneakers. I bought a pair of the NB MC1006 in 4E after having to return my 2E pair in Jan 2019 and they are noticeably wider than the NB806 4E. My size and weight has not changed for years. I can barely wear these without them hurting my feet. I keep trying to wear them and just hate them more and more each time. I thought they would get more comfortable after a little while but a man can only take so much foot pain. I wish I could return them. I used to love New Balance and have worn their sneakers for years, ever since NIKE abandoned the wide tennis sneakers they carried. I can not recommend this model. Something happened with New Balance widths between 2017 and 2019 and I know this thanks to Amazon order histories. People don't buy New Balance for style, they buy them because they have wide feet and New Balance is SCREWING UP!!!!!

They look nice, people do seem to notice them. The shoe body does not hold up well. The rubber on the shoe sole wears and separates very quickly. The foam seems to break down quickly or not provide enough support leading to foot pain. The traction of the shoe on wet surfaces is great and these things are very water tight. These shoes do not breath very well. I walk alot for my job and for exercise, 1-3 miles per day, these are lasting about 3-4 months for each pair. For the price it’s not the best shoes I have owned. I did buy multiple pairs to start with due to a sale price and because I am rough on shoes. I won’t be reordering more.
