Hubby liked fit of New Balance and in black so like shoes vs sneakers. BUT this pair was very narrow, and too tight. We looked for exact number of last pair he got, but they are out of stock. MAYBE this pair in WIDE will get the job done.

I wore these on vacation in Spain for 2 months. I walked an average of 5 miles a day and they held up extremely well. I was walking on cobblestones much of the time. They really are XX wide which really helped. They have become my favorite shoes to wear everyday.

SO I BOUGHT THESE CHEAPIES TO WEAR ONLY WHEN GOING OUT IN THE SUMMER. THEY ARE FINE. THEY STAY LOOKING BRAND NEW....BECAUSE I JUST DON'T WEAR THEM VERY OFTEN. VERY LITTLE ARCH SUPPORT, BUT I'M NOT DOING LOTS OF WALKING IN THEM AND THEY ARE PERFECTLY COMFORTABLE FOR GOING TO A RESTAURANT. NO QUESTION....THIS IS THE MUCH LOWER GRADE NEW BALANCE SHOE. When I first wore them, they chafed the back of my leg and around my ankle. But when I laced up every available hole and pulled the tongue towards the inside of my foot, they gave me no trouble. In fact they're pretty comfortable. The toe box is good, unlike a pair I have from Rockport where I have had to put cotton balls between 2 of my toes to prevent blisters. (I will be giving them away.) One complaint about New Balance: I ordered narrow, but if I'm reading the label right, they sent medium width. I'm keeping them because that's fine. I bought a white pair, and I will probably order another pair, this time black. I recommend these shoes.
