I bought this as a glorified audio player. The last time I owned a Fire tablet was back in 2018. Back then it was kind of clunky and thick. Now, I find it thin and lightweight. I skipped the case and screen protector this time. I only added a magnetic pop socket which works out pretty well. I won't compare it to my iPad. That tablet is in its own category. This is an Amazon Fire Tablet and it works out great for an economical tablet. I will admit I miss using it because I can tweak my favorite browsers (Firefox) with extensions and add-ons without any problems; something I can't do with the iOS version. I also like the fact you can add Google play or even use another party and side load various apps. Of course, Amazon's app store has several and the most important one happened to be Musicolet. The only downside and what hasn't changed is the charging time. It still takes hours. Other than that, it works out to be a great audio player and when on sale, much cheaper and dependable than those MP3 players. Depending on the app chosen, the WAV files or even ALAC files sound great with the Yamaha musicast speaker. (Get the Musicolet app!) I also suggest spending just a bit more to have the Lockscreen ads removed, it REALLY makes a difference.

I find myself reaching for this tablet more often than my Galaxy TAB 10 Ultra or even my iPad Pro 11 due to their size and weight. I can just hold it in one hand. Sure, the experience is pretty basic, but that is its charm. At 8" the screen has enough PPI to make video content pretty clear. The size makes it much easier to hold with one hand. By the way, YouTube looks great in the Silk browser in my opinion. I appreciate the 3.5mm jack as well as Bluetooth connectivity. I find it just as useful as a hub for my home and an entertainment portal in limited spaces such as my kitchen counter. The speakers aren’t great, but they’re good enough in a pinch. While I prefer my Kindle PW, the reading experience is not that bad. Honestly, I like it better for color content such as comics and magazines since the colors pop more and frame focus works smoothly. The browsing experience is decent. Keeping in mind that the memory limitations do not allow for many apps and tabs to be opened at the same time, I have had no issues in doing any browsing and even some productivity tasks. When it’s all said and done, I am quite pleased with the overall experience. The tablet may not be as premium, but managing expectations and considering that “better” tablets cost astronomically much more, this is certainly a bargain -especially when it’s on special.

I actually bought the tablet as a gift for my mother. And I will just say that there is a quality-price ratio here. It is not the best tablet, nor the fastest, but it does its job. Sometimes it is a bit slow or the touch screen does not respond immediately (I will have to check the screen options to see if this can be fixed). The 8-inch size is perfect for carrying it everywhere (but I recommend buying a protector, to extend its useful life and put a micro SD in it to gain more memory). For using streaming services, YouTube, social networks, shopping on Amazon and checking email, it is very good. Although I am sure my mother will only use YouTube, Facebook and any platform that broadcasts Turkish and Asian soap operas.

I purchased a new Kindle tablet for myself. My other tablet is used by my niece and nephew. I wanted my own and not worry about sharing or out of power. The screen is great and sound so good. I wasn't sure if I would like this but it comes in very handy. I love it for recipes, reading, shopping, playing games and watching movies. The size is perfect. I can read recipes clearly or read a book. It's still small enough that i can throw it in my purse and it's not bulky or heavy. I really enjoy it

Bought as a gift for 16 year old. She is very happy with the tablet. Wifi , function is perfect for Google, playing games and researching. Very good quality, of course you want the protection plan just in case. Charges fast and holds charge a good period of time. Very slim( thickness wise) to be able to store in a drawer.

I call these my "tiny TV's". For such a tiny price they provide so many hours of entertainment. Have had no issues with any of these. Most apps that I use are available and simple to install. Great screen resolution. I have dropped a couple of them and they were fine, although I always keep them in a protective case. Nice product, undoubtedly will buy again. Outstanding value for the money!
