My first attempt to order this is lost and I was notified of my options. So, I ordered a replacement and boye was it worth the wait. I'm not a 'green' color kind of gal, but this is really nice. One side a pretty green and the other side is like a beige. It's well stitched around the edges and the boxes to maintain eveness of the fill. It's really light weight but warm and breathable. Probably would function as a year round comforter vs seasonal. It's got tab loops as well for a duvet cover. I was especially pleased to note that the Care Instruction label identifies this Nestl Comforter Duvet as OEKO 100 compliant which is the best. 2 green matching pillow shams accompanied this comforter makes for a really nice made up bed. Although the shams are the thinnest I've ever encountered so you're more likely to use them as everyday pillow cases. I've not experienced any crackling sound when moving about or rolling over with this comforter. And, being polyester, there won't be any experience with shrinkage. I got this for a single bed in my spare room. It comes pretty well compressed, but expands quickly when the packaging is ripped off. This comforter is very much like you might find in hotels. This cover is very comfortable and lightweight. It's good for just about anytime of the year. I've not tried it over 75 degrees, but it's warm down into the high 50's with just an under sheet. This is a great duvet insert that I just use directly. It is quiet comfortable and very warm. My feet get a little sweaty but that's probably just me. Might not be suitable for use during the warmer months but will probably be good for a the major part of the year. It's lightweight as well. My son was needed a comforter for his new bed. I wanted to go with a comforter/duvet set up this time around to reduce wear on the blanket itself. He wanted something plush but not terribly warm as he's a hot sleeper. As this was rated 'all seasons' I thought it might be a good replacement allowing it to be used year round. Pros: Washing. This was the first thing I did after unpacking it from the vacuum sealed bag it shipped in. It's a machine wash cold/ tumble dry low comforter and following the directions it washed very well and with out issue. It dried rather fast as well and, as it is pretty light (especially as ours is a queen), I didn't have any issue with my machines being off balanced or thudding while in use. It was a pretty big fill for our large machine so just keep this in mind if you have a small capacity washer. This is a soft and rather fluffy fill comforter. After washing it had minimal wrinkles which shouldn't be an issue when using this with a duvet. By itself, I think it's rather comfortable. The fabric has a pleasant microfiber feel. This is a poly fabric and poly fill. This comforter can work by itself with out a duvet. Nice true to photos color. While we do have a duvet for this comforter, my son actually likes the color the way it is. It appears very well made and well stitched. No loose threads or over stitching issues. Edge securing loops for duvet cover feel pretty sturdy. This has 8 side loops for securing your duvet cover. These are minimal so as not to attract attention if the comforter is used by itself with out a duvet. It fit our duvet great and securely. Looked nice and laid well. The loops were a bit small which made tying a bit of a challenge, but reduces bunching and shifting. For the present price of $31.99, this seems with in fair market value. Cons: The blanket has some pretty large duffels. I'm a little concerned that eventually the fill will shift and accumulate along the edges of the duffels causing bunching and thinning but only time will tell if this is a problem. This is an issue with many 'down alternative' comforters and is not specific to this comforter alone. This isn't necessarily a 'con' but please be aware this is an 'all season' blanket meaning it will not be very warm. In cooler months you will probably want to pair this with another blanket to accommodate for cooler temperatures. By nature an 'all season' blanket isn't super warm allowing it to be used during warmer months. Just a heads up here. We have not tested it's use with warm temps as we received this during the winter, but it appears to work just fine paired with other bedding in cooler temps. ... show more

    • A Comfortable, Cozy Comforter That Helps Me Sleep Well

The first thing I look for in a comforter is whether it is quilted or not. My very first comforter was not. In effect it was just one big bag holding the filling. The problem with that is during the course of a night's sleep, the filler would drift toward the bottom, give more warmth to my feet but less to my upper body. These days, it's quilted only for me, to keep the filling evenly distributed. This comforter is perfect on that account. The second thing I look for in a comforter is a lightweight one, that I can use year round. Personally I can't see the point of having one that I have to put away for one or more seasons of the year. Again, this comforter fits the bill very nicely. My bed is next to a long window. On hot days, it's noticeably warmer there than elsewhere in my bedroom. As you'd expect, on cold days, that area is colder. With this comforter, I can slide it down off my shoulders on the warm days or pull it up over my shoulders on the cold ones and I am perfectly comfortable either way. One thing I was cautious about was that some comforters are big and bulky enough that they can't be washed in many home washing machines. This one went through the washer just fine. A thing that some folks are concerned about is the fabric of the comforter and the kind of filling in it. Me, I'm not concerned about that. The polyester shell and the polyester filling of this comforter work just fine for me. One of my sisters doesn't care much for polyester. I asked her to feel the shell of this comforter and she was impressed by how smooth the polyester felt, even commenting on how much better polyester is these days. She's going to stick with her bamboo bedding but this polyester comforter works very well for me. I love snuggling up under it every night, feeling all warm and cozy as I drift off to sleep. ... show more
