I got engaged up in Maine in October of last year. The hotel we were staying at had this ocean mist & sea salt burning in the lobby 24/7 and I loved it. Around Christmas I couldn't think of anything to buy my Grandma who has great taste in everything but also has everything she could want. I thought this would be perfect. Sentimental and great quality candle. She loved it. When she opened the box I was taken back to Maine and knew I had to buy one myself. The candle has little to no scent. Once you burn it the wax turns a creamy brown color, doesn't stay white. We have Capri Blue candles as well, they are less expensive, last longer and the scent is amazing. You can just take off the lid and without lighting it, it freshens any room. I expected this to be similar since it's so expensive. $14 for a votive????? Don't waste your money. Buy a Capri Blue in volcano or aloha orchid. ... show more

Love the scent but the problem is the wick doesn't last long enough the wax melts faster than the wick can stay lite

In case you may not have noticed, this is a very small 2 oz candle. I have to admit I expected it to be bigger, but that is on me for not noticing the details. It arrived melted with wax covering the wick so I am returning it. I do think it's quite expensive for how small this candle is. Having said that, it does have a very fresh, ocean scent. It would probably work better if you could buy it in a store, or in the cooler months when it would be less likely to melt and be unusable. ... show more

This is the most impressive small candle I've ever owned. For something so small, it packs an incredible (yet somehow NOT overpowering) scent. It refreshes an entire room in a matter of minutes... I will be re-buying these for sure. The duration is pretty accurate. Very impressed for a small candle.
