Got this for my A7iii, wasnt sure if it would fit. But it did fit nicely! Not all the mounting screws will work, but as long as you screw in the bottom one, the camera is safe and secure in the cage!

I do a lot of cinematography work and currently have one cage already for my Sony A7III. I use that cage mostly for my gimbal setup, and needed a second cage for my shoulder mount rig. This cage actually worked out perfectly. All I really needed to do was tighten the quarter inch mount on the bottom and the camera was securely in place because of the rubber grips. As you'll see from my photos, I was then able to mount all of my shoulder rig equipment around the cage and build a whole new shoulder mount system. I have many other products from NEEWER and once again, they have proven to me that they are a quality company with quality products. The metal machining on this cage is beautiful and has multiple 1/4" & 3/8" mounting holes, along with a cold-shoe mount. I think my photos really say at all, as you will see how I was able to mount multiple different pieces to this cage. Kudos to NEEWER for once again putting out a great product! ... show more

The Neewer has a very good fit with excellent tolerances to the Sony cameras it was designed for and it works wonderfully with my A7RIV. The anti-twist pin is good at its job and is worth installing. You will need to remove everything from the strap slot to accomplish this, but the cage has its own strap connection sites to replace those on the camera body. Neewer includes a useful tool for the cage and it resides on the bottom underside and held in place by two round built-in magnets - a thoughtful touch. It's not in my photo because after using it I forgot to replace it before I took the photos. As you can see, there are very many location options for your accessory gear. It has an ARCA type base and two cold shoes. A consideration sometimes overlooked when discounting a cage is the protection they offer. A cage could save you thousands of dollars. I've found that Neewer markets great products at a reasonable price, and this cage is another first-rate example. It's easy to recommend. ... show more

This lightweight, all-aluminum cage provides excellent protection and extended functionality for my camera without adding unnecessary bulk. The two-step mounting system ensures my camera is secure and stable. The cage seems to be made from a single piece of aluminum and feels super strong. The plethora of 1/4" threaded holes make attaching accessories a breeze, and the Arca type base allows for quick switching between tripod, handheld, and stabilizer setups. I've used it with a DJI RS stabilizer, and the compatibility was seamless. I use a Manfrotto quick disconnect system on some tripods, and when I need that it screws into the base of this cage. Most importantly, the cage doesn't hinder access to the camera's battery compartment, ports, and buttons. This is a nice camera cage. It fits the Sony A7RIV camera nicely. It provides full access to all the ports, battery, and the card. It is also light weight, so this is great I like that there are coldshoe mounts, lots of 1/4"x20 mounts, and a Arca base. I can customize the load, depending on my filming needs. I really enjoy the minimal design. If I need a bigger set-up, I'm using a full rig. This gives me the vital features while still keeping the weight low. I have full confidence in this. ... show more

Camera cages are one of the most important accessories any videographer can purchase for their camera. Whether it be for handheld use, on a shoulder rig, or a gimbal, they can be incredibly useful. This aluminum alloy cage is pretty sturdy and should protect your camera in case it was to fall or something like that. The threaded holes offer tons of room for improvement or for putting tons of accessories on your camera.
