I wanted a clamp style headphones holder for my desk and came across this simple beauty. Initially expect to use an under-desk version, but I came across this above desk one which is less popular for a clamp style unit. Initially when I took it out of the box, the materials felt cheaper than I'd expect for something that will support headphones above the desk. This is a pretty solid headphone holder for the desk. It’s quick and easy to mount due to its tension style grip. Overall stability is like a 4 out of 5. It’s generally stable but has some play if you put a bit of pressure on the mount. But just using it normally it’s really a non-issue. Material and construction is pretty solid and doesn’t feel overly cheap or anything. The design makes mounting it flexible so you can have the headphones mounted above or below the desk and the actual piece you you rest the headphones on can be rotated for perfect placement. I love the versatility of this headset stand. The body telescopes, with a knob to lock the height, and the top swivels 180°. It can be mounted up or down from the desk's edge. I can't speak to the strength of the spring that grips it to the edge as mine wedged perfectly into an opening between the desktop and frame, which keeps it in place quite well. This is a fantastic headphone stand! I affixed it to the back edge of my sit/stand desk at work. It affixes in seconds and is well made. It has protective pads to protect your desk surface and it has an adjustable height for the headphones. Definitely recommend!

    • Better than I expected - the images fall short to describe all it's features
So several things you should know about the product. The clamp is spring loaded with a heavy weight tight spring. The adjustment nut you see in the image is to set the height of the holder - not to clamp it down. Next bit - the arm that supports the headphones rotates 360 degrees and can be angled in a flat plane so it's not locked to the fixed L shape in the image and this is a GREAT feature. The bracket is deep enough to allow for cable storage. Much of the material is medium grade plastic - it's thicker than your typical 3D print and looks like it'll hold up ok except under a heavy blunt force impact. The jaws are lightly padded so as not to damage wood surfaces and seem to provide descent non-slip traction. If I had to point out a weak spot it'd be at the linkage between the clamp/post and the rotation point on the headphone support arm. That's not going to hold up to much abuse I don't think. Only time will tell. Overall - I'm happier with this purchase than I expected. I bought this to cradle my gamer headphones up off my end table.
