This hook is exactly what I needed for my deck. The top of my deck is too large for clamp style hooks so I was happy to find one that instead attaches to the rail. Installation: it was super easy to put up. I was a little worried because I live on the top floor of my building and figured I would be accidentally dropping things but I had no issues. It was easy enough to screw nuts from my side while holding in place from the other side. It didn’t come with instructions but after looking at picture on Amazon, it wasn’t hard to figure out how to install. I like that the bar comes unattached so you can install hardware without bar in your way. The bar does not rotate and you can’t change angle like others I looked at if that’s something that you care about. Size: For those who like me are trying to figure how big of a pot/wind spinner would fit, it is approximately 10 inches from rails to the hook. Pictured is an 11 inch wind spinner and it moves freely with no issues with it hitting the middle rod. The bird feeder holds 2.5 pounds seed and it seems to hold it with no issues. I would say it’s a good size for small bird feeders or plants. It could probably hold more weight, if you had something heavier ... show more

Installed within three minutes, feels sturdy and secure hanging a glass hummingbird feeder from a third floor balcony. Probably a good idea to check and tighten the fasteners regularly just in case, but it feels very sturdy.

I’ve had these for a couple months now and they are holding up really well. One other pair I bought broke at the weld almost immediately but these appear to be better built. Work well for a bird bath and a platform feeder. Good price for two. They are easy to put up / move and hold up well in high wind. I’m here to buy another two! ... show more
