These windows are an economical solution if you just want some windows for light in a shed or other location. These came with the corners a little bent up, but were straightened out prior to install. These look ok for shed windows, and work great at providing some extra natural light. Assembly consisted of framing a window opening to fit these in it and for a shed with open walls that is easy, and they should fit well if you framed the correct window size.

Good quality build and easy to install

These windows are pretty decent given the price of currently just $33 per window for 10x23. While double pane low-e windows that open can cost easily thrice as much, these low-priced windows can do the job where the ability to open and insulation are not required. Perfect for sheds and perhaps good as basement windows. You can have this good-looking well-built product at a fraction of the price of double-paned house windows that insulate and open. This product's tempered glass for safety and resistance to breaking is a nice bonus not necessarily expected in this price range. Now for the criticisms: While the aluminum frame is pretty solid (though just held together with screws), the visual bars are a bluff. They are actually pretty thin pieces of rectangular aluminum stock that sit outside not inside the window. Thus a burglar with tools can easily, quietly pry off the bars and then break the glass and climb through. I was hoping the "bars" would be half inch square tubing which I could then reinforce by slipping in pieces of half-inch rebar, but no. If you want to burglar proof these windows you'll have to add additional security measures. That's not a deal breaker but worth noting. Another issue in terms of security is that these windows simply screw in place to your framing, from the outside! That surprises me that windows would be attached from outside because anybody with a cordless drill/driver could simply remove these windows. When I build the shed for these windows, my workaround will be to drill the holes out wider to accept 1/4" carriage bolts and simply through-bolt these windows to secure them from the inside. By the way, the one inch screws provided are stainless steel with no finish, so the shiny silver screw heads I'd expect to detract from the appearance of the windows, at least from close. Maybe at a distance they aren't noticeable, but screw heads that match the color of the windows would make more sense. While I won't be installing these windows until I build the shed a couple of years hence, I've inspected them, and the quality is good for the money. They look nice and have a solid feel to them. Aluminum never rusts, and the quality finish and good looks I'd expect to last for decades. I received the 10x23 size through Vine. I like them enough that I added a pair of the 12x12 to my cart as I'm considering using those on another building though I am yet undecided.

This size (10x35) and style of windows are exactly what I was looking for an interior room in our garage where we didn't need them to open or be insulated but just to let extra light in. Having the tempered glass was an added bonus and makes them a great value. The aluminum frame is solid and feels like they will last forever (not flimsy). The one thing to point out is that the black strips on the window are on the outer side and look like they can be easily removed. I like the look of the strips and especially for interior windows it gives interest to an otherwise plain wall. Installation was easy enough using the instructions that came with the windows. We were able to pretty much cut the opening, pop in, and screw down with the included screws. Very pleased and would highly recommend. 5 STARS
