  • People giving this game bad reviews are crazy...
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3
This game is a HUGE improvement over NBA 2K13. The GAMEPLAY has been vastly improved. Contact in the paint is now incredibly realistic, defense is now just as important and effective as offense is, and most importantly there is no "cheesing"! No euro step cheese, no flying through people for dunks, no leaning layup animations that caused you to brick layups whenever you got contact in the paint, and no getting bailed out when making stupid passes. It's a strategic game now that is incredibly balanced. If you're a gameplay guy and recognize the importance of true simulation basketball then this is a must-buy. As for the modes, I hear that they are mostly the same as 2K13, but I haven't played any modes myself. I have played a few quick games and games online and I can tell you that the gameplay is the best it's been on current gen. ... show more

  • Great Game
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3
I'm not really into sports video games. I mean, don't get me wrong, I LOVE sports...but with games, it just feels robotic? Although I have to say, that this game surpassed ALL my expectations. The interaction between players during the game is so fluid and realistic, the graphics are amazeballs, and the personality of every individual player reflects their actual style in real life. < That last one for me, was a game changer, it made NBA Live 2014 look like tetris. Anyways, i'm more than satisfied with this purchase. I actually bought it for my cousin for xmas, but wound up swapping it with another gift because all my friends said to play it. (Great move on my part) ... show more

  • Bought for my husband and son

I assume it's great. They can't stop playing it. They have built characters and each have their own and compete against each other. The graphics are great. Swaying hair and all. But that's a non-gamer point of view. They talk to the TV in a good way and cheer their character. They get codes from FB too. They are very excited about the game. I'd say that's a good game. Thank you EA Sports! ... show more

  • Great for the price, being last year's game, but forget about free, bonus Virtual Currency opportunities for this version.
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3
Fun overall, being able to play with teams of the 2013-2014 season as well as retro legendary teams! This is my first NBA 2K game since the days of the Playstation 2, so control changes that many loyal fans complain about were not a problem for me. The bad: -PS3 version's load time can test patience sometimes. -Eventually, MyCareer play mode will start freezing your PS3 system while it's loading content to start your team's next game or sometimes after the post-game interview. Didn't figure out that these system lockups are not isolated to me until I searched the web for others experiencing the same problem. Unfortunately, it appears that 2K never bothered patch the game to fix this, so just be aware of that. -If you buy this game AFTER JANUARY 2015, it may come as a surprise that bonus Virtual Currency (VC) opportunities that 2K Sports used to give away are no longer available, and that you can no longer use the in-game micro-transaction system to buy more VC with real cash. VC is used in the game to "buy" MyPlayer attribute upgrades, outfits, shoes, etc. In other words, you can't create a player with superstar attributes/skills from the get-go. You can however earn VCs by simply playing with your favorite team(s) and matchups. You can also earn them with your MyCareer character, if you don't mind playing a character that will struggle through the earlier part of his career. -The MyNBA2K14 companion app on iOS and Android is gone, so no more bonuses and freebies from that either. We missed out. Boo! -All Codes you find online have long expired. Yes, 2K Sports set a time limit on the freebies. Now they only give freebies for the 2K15 version. ... show more

  • Great As Always!!!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3
2K Sports does it again. Take it from a person who purchased everyone single NBA 2K title since it was release back on the Dreamcast, I know there isn't much changes but this game is just great. I know people are holding out till PS4 and Xbox One comes out but it's a great basketball simulation regardless of what system it is on. ... show more

  • Best Basketball Simulation To Date
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3
I'm a big fan of the NBA2K franchise. I've skipped several iterations just because of cost and time, but this one was a great investment to get back into it. The game has the best physics I've seen in a basketball simulation (granted there are still flaws, but if you want the real thing, go shoot hoops with a real ball on a real court). The controls take a little getting used to, and the advanced functions are just that - advanced - but the game is fun, has a variety of modes to play (I've still not played them all), and recovers well from the mistakes made in previous versions. ... show more

  • Another great NBA2K game. Especially when it's on sale!
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3
NBA 2K has come a long way and each year the game steps up it's game with improvements. If you are a basketball fan and love NBA2K, I don't see why you shouldn't own this. What stands out for this year is the my career where you start out as a rookie and build up your own player. You earn money to where you can spend improving your stats to make your player better. I don't really like the whole social media factoring into the mode, but then again in this age, social media does account into NBA star players, so I guess it's somewhat going for the accurate presentation. Controls get taking used to, they changed a few things as far as control stick for freestyle shooting. I still really hate that you can't control how you pass. For example, I want to be able to choose whether to bounce pass, or lob pass, or just a straight chest pass. I can control to score a million ways, why can't I control a simple thing like how I pass. So many plays that were ruined because of the computer deciding a dumb pass that is easily stolen by the opponent. I hope 2K really implement that into the game. ... show more

  • The game works excellent with no glitches and no damage
Platform For Display: PlayStation 3
This is a fantastic game. It is a couple years old and they priced it just right for my budget on PS3 games. The game works excellent with no glitches and no damage to case. Great buy and will continue to buy games from them.
