This breastplate was a fantastic choice for a Renaissance Faire costume that will serve me for years to come! The product came well-packaged and protected, with a generous coating of oil to prevent rust. It fits well, especially worn over a gambeson, and offers a good level of adjustability, although for those who wear S and below or XL and above, I might recommend requesting it to be made to-size. I am between a M and L, standing 5’8” and 195 lbs. with a muscular frame, and this breastplate fit almost perfectly. The straps feel tough and haven’t shown any signs of wear and tear. The craftsmanship exceeded my expectations for the price- everything seemed well put together and even, with the only issues being a few sharp edges that could be sanded down easily enough. Donning the breastplate can be a pain, and is definitely a two or three-person process, but this issue is mostly unavoidable with medieval breastplates.
