Just completed this kit, there was plenty of paint, I did use flow ease to make the paints easier to spread. the colors are beautiful. The numbers are in red, which makes them less likely to show through the paint. However, I wish the quantity of the numbers was greater, it was sometimes hard to figure out what color went where, because the space was large, but instead of several numbers evenly distributed in that color space, there would be only 1. And some of the numbers were hard to tell which space they went to. But all in all I really enjoyed painting this one.

[Abstract sail boat] One of my most favorite PBN designs. Nice paints and easy to read numbers and reference sheet. Be aware that some kit colors differ from the original image - more than usual [thus minus one star]. The blues in the water and colors in the sail are much darker than the image. I painted over those to my preference. You'll find the oranges, reds and yellows will require many coats for solid coverage - which is normal for acrylic paint. Thin the paints with flow agent to a melted ice cream consistency and you'll never run out. [Adding water alone makes colors too washed out.]

I've been working on this paint-by-numbers kit and it's a decent design and layout. The numbers can be challenging to read so the printed diagram sheets comes in handy. The sample image is bright, just like the digital images, however the actual painting is much darker and for this reason I'm disappointed. The image is just too dark for what it should be. The set of brushes that come with it are decent to work with. I've had some issues with the paint in this set, it's almost as though some of it is oil based paint rather than water based acrylic. It just mixes up oddly compared to all the other sets I've used. I was really looking forward to enjoying this kit but as time went on and the colors became darker and darker I became more disappointed. I chose this set because my dad used to live on a sailboat like the one in the picture and we'd go away for weekend sails to Catalina. I was hoping this could hang among photos of those trips but I'll have to find something else that will work.

The canvas is folded up in a small square, it has creases all over the canvas. Why would a co. Do something like this?but the only 3 brushes are nice. And I liked the acrylic paints.
