These shelves are very poorly made and don’t hold up well. First, I had to sand it because it wasn’t finished well and I got a splinter when handling them. They’re for my son’s room so I didn’t want him to get any splinters either. Second, the pre drilled holes were so off that one of the sides of one of the shelves is lopsided and doesn’t sit straight. Lastly, the pre drilled holes were either too big or stripped on one of the shelves because the screws won’t stay in place and the bottom falls out if you put anything on it which defeats the purpose of having it. Unfortunately I didn’t put them up right away so I didn’t know any of this until it was too late and I had missed my return window. ... show more

Super cute. Gave me the look I was going for. They were easy to assemble. I did have to use one of my own screws for one of the shelves. I used the shelves for my daughters book collection.

The color is definitely not the same as the picture. So if I wanted to order more (which I considered), I wouldn’t trust that it would be the same shade. One dowel was missing - which was annoying because one shelf is not as secure. It’s very obviously China-made (which I expected) so the quality is poor. Overall, it does the job I intended it for, but it’s certainly not worth $40. Maybe half that? I wouldn’t buy more, so I’m giving 3 stars. ... show more

Instructions were easy to follow. Did have to use the anchors included with the screws, but once I got them up, not even a little wiggle, which is great! And decent amount of space as well.
