My figs were soft, moist, and tasty - no mold or anything. Since they are relatively high moisture and have no preservatives, I am not surprised if they sometimes get mold, but the preservatives in dried fruit (sulfites) are bad for your health. The issue is that they work too well and also take out the beneficial bacteria in your intestines, which scientists are increasingly finding to be extremely important for your health. If I ever get some with mold, I am sure amazon will refund me if I contact them through amazon support. They unsurprisingly do not want you to send the moldy or otherwise defective food back to them, especially if they are paying for shipping, but there generally is no issue getting a refund if you contact them. If they are dried out and hard, which could happen if they've been on the warehouse shelves for a while, it may be worth soaking in water to soften them or using in recipes. Mine were not dried out, in any case. I will definitely buy again. No puedo escribir lo suficientemente bien en español para describir a los higos, pero los míos fueron muy buenos y sin problemas.

I love figs! Fresh, Dehyrdated, in cookies (newtons), as a spread, ... especially mission figs. The bag arrived and was over inflated with air - what causes that? When I tore it open - it reaked. I looked inside and the few pieces at the top looked less than desireable. Took one and bit it into it. HARD LEATHER is the best discription. Flavorless and hard. Not worth buying. Could not find a date on the bag so don't know how old they are before I received them yesterday. I plan to return them.

Nice little healthy snack. You get a decent amount they taste fresh but can be a tiny bit dry they look a little dry too it is a few hard pieces here and there but that's to be expected. I wouldn't mind buying again
