It is a VERY roomy fit, however, the sleeves fit well, so I would imagine that a size down would render the the sleeves too small. I like the fit of the jacket and I really like the cuffs. Sometimes cuffs can be a bit long for me but the sweatshirt material keeps them at my wrists and out of my way. It is a relatively heavy fabric, washes easily and resists wrinkles. It can be warm in the summer and doesn't breathe very well but that is the trade off for having a heavy weight synthetic jacket.
