It isn't moonstone, it's opalite, a man-made version of opal using resin, plastic, and glass. I was looking for opalite specifically which made me buy this. It's very dainty and delicate and I absolutely love it. Opalite practically glows in the dark and looks amazing against black clothing (I like it more than actual opal). The only reason I'm giving four stars instead of five is simply because calling it "moonstone," when it isn't can be misleading to some customers ... show more

The stone came off the necklace less than a week after I received it. I was just sitting in a chair noticed the stone had fallen off. Very disappointed! They offered to send a new one but there is no garuntee that it will not break. I was hoping this was a quality product based on other reviews.
