This batting is very nice-easy to work with and very soft. I am making "bowl cozies". Works great!

  • Great if you need a batting that is truly 100 percent cotton
Size: 90 x 90 Inch
This 100% cotton batting is advertised as “lightweight.” When I first unwrapped it I thought: “Oh yeah, it really is super light.” But when I compared it with my favorite U.S. made cotton batting, it seemed to be about the same weight and thickness. It is advertised as 150 grams per square meter. That converts to about 4.2 ounces per square yard. The cotton batting I use is supposed to be 4 ounces per square yard (I had to research that; it is not on the package). What is on the U.S. package is the fact that the batting I have used in the past is actually NOT 100 percent cotton because it has a polymerfiber center to give it stability (making the U.S. product 87.5% cotton/12.5% polymer fiber). The product I am reviewing is 100% cotton based on the Amazon ad (it is not labeled on the package). I tested the HandiFabrArt batting with the “burn test.” The ash left from the little square I burned was soft like cotton is supposed to be when it is burned for the test. The product with the polymerfiber center did not burn the same. It was soft but the ash did not compress into a little ball like this product. This product is even throughout. It is not lumpy. It has no odor. The only reason I knocked off a star is because the label does not tell how many inches apart quilting stitches may be placed to make the quilted item stable through washing, etc. The U.S. product I have always used is clearly labeled that quilting can be as far apart as 10 inches. Because the HandiFabrArt does not have the polymerfiber center, I would not feel comfortable using a quilting pattern as far apart as 10 inches. This batting has a lot of “give.” I think I prefer a product that is more stable, with less stretch on the edges. But if you require 100% cotton, this HandiFabrArt product fits the bill. I have not had time to use this batting in a project or to wash and dry a finished project. I intend to do that for my own knowledge and will revise this review if I get negative results. ... show more

  • Great Quality Batting for Many of your Quilting or Craft Projects
Size: 108 x 96 Inch
I selected the 108 inches X 96 Inches size and it worked out well. It can fit a blanket up to 9 feet long and 8 feet wide. Of course, it can be easily cut into smaller blanket sizes. The material is soft and advertised to be made of cotton fibers. I think it’s perfect for making quilts and using for various crafts. I found that it is very easy to cut and I tried it on two sewing machines and an embroidery machine, and it ran through easily. The material seems to be a bit thinner and lighter than most batting I have had in the past, but it’s every bit as warm, so it will work inside a quilt very effectively. Based on my own inspection, I can affirm that it is a uniform thickness and well cut. Based on my own inspections, and my opinion that this batting is a good value for the price and the quality of the product, I am inclined to award 5 stars for this natural cotton batting. ... show more

  • Not too thick, excellent for absorbing heat/moisture
Size: 108 x 96 Inch
This is really nice batting for quilt making. I use them in making hot mitts, place mats, and drink coasters. Excellent fiber for absorbing heat and moisture.

  • Thin batting, best for small projects.
Size: 108 x 96 Inch
Lightwieght cotton batting https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DZ6FHDKV 5/22/2025 Yes 29.72 29.72 You get a lot of batting, 96x108 inches was only $30 as of time of review. I don't plan on using this for a quilt; it's really too thin for that. But, it's perfect to add bulk to quilted bags, cozies, and pot holders. I have a lot of scraps to use up and this will give me the backing I need for those projects. It comes in a vaccum sealed bag, but it fluffs up quickly. For small projects, this will last you a lifetime. ... show more

  • Decent, lightweight cotton batting. It's easier to pull apart than some brands.
Size: 108 x 96 Inch
This package of Lightweight Natural Cotton Batting for Quilting in the 108"x96" size feels as soft as other brands I've used, but does feel like I'll have to be a bit more cautious about laying it out and not pulling it to flatten it/straighten it. It feels like it pulls apart/separates a bit easier than some brands, but it'll work well enough for some of the quilting projects I've got planned. I wanted something thinner so it wouldn't be too hot, and this is soft. I would NOT use it if I was doing a memory quilt or something with vintage materials, but for gift lap blankets and such - it's good enough. NOTE: It's made in China. ... show more

  • I will be buying more of this batting
Size: 108 x 96 Inch
Very nice quality batting. It feels and performs like the name brand batting I usually buy. I will be switching my future batting purchases to this one in the future.
