Update 4/7/2026 I have to update my rating for 2 important reasons. First, the seller's response and follow-up to my review. Drounphi has been very kind and gracious to reach out after my original 2-start post, not once - but twice! The first time they offered me a full refund for the multiple quilt battings I had ordered. When I replied with a no thank you (I had used most of the products) they replied a second time with more detailed information and even a discount on a future purchase. That is a very good customer service! (Btw - I was never asked to change my rating.) Second, I am a new quilter. I am learning about 'bearding,' batting weights, that shedding can be real, and how to limit it. I did have quite a bit of batting overhang which could have contributed to the cotton dust, too. Thank you, Drounphi, for the great contact. I appreciate your sincerity. [Original Post] I thought all cotton was all cotton, but not only does this batting have a smell to it (not bad, just a smell) it SHEDS! My first quilt I used with this batting left dust everywhere, not just my machine, so the second one I used I was very careful not to shake out or move the batting much. I still have a slight layer of cotton dust everywhere. It's very noticeable in my machine as well. Being new to quilting, maybe this is normal, but I didn't find it this noticeable with Missouri Star's 80/20 batting. It's a good price and held together well when I ironed and trimmed it , but I'll be watching for brand name sales when I can.
