We first ordered the Contact brand, but realized the dimension were right for our project, we returned it and order this cork shelf paper. I am so glad we did. It is a far superior product to the Contact brand. It is slightly thicker and holds together well...the Contact one was crumbly. We covered IKEA desks with the cork, trimmed and sanded the edges, and finished with 3 coats of polyacrylic (water-based polyurethane). Creates the perfect work surface...slightly soft while not staining or tearing like raw cork. The sheets cut well with an exacto knife and metal ruler and the adhesive is quality and easy to work with. ... show more

Unlike other reviewers I found this cork easy to cut & work with. Used to line my tool box drawers. Only draw back is it wants to keep its rolled up shape during cutting & installing.

It was ok, quite a bit tedious to cut to sizes I needed them to be. The sticky backing is great but also a curse when putting down. It sticks hard right away and when you try to remove and move, it most likely will rip.

I used it to line the bottom glass shelf of my fridge. Removed the shelf, washed/ dried it, installed the adhesive cork liner, and swiped from the middle to the edges with pressure to make sure it didn’t have air bubbles. This was months ago, and it hasn’t lifted anywhere, or lost its adhesion since I installed it, and it’s in my fridge, where there’s LOTS of moisture! Now, I can place heavy containers with hot food inside and not worry about either breaking the glass, or worrying about the condensation it may leave behind. It’s great. The adhesive backing is weak and the quality of the cork is worst , it crumbles easily. Lastly the roll was short a few inches.
