These are super cute! My daughter loves the sparkes and the shiny colors. Her older brother has roller blades, and sh'es been begging to join him. Now she can! I like that they are adjustable and can grow with her as she learns, so I'm not shelling out roller skate money each time she sizes up. These are fairly easy to put on. I say "fairly" because for a stiff boot item, like a roller skate or an ice skae, I expect a little bit of resistance. These do have that, but I"m not constantly trying to shove her feet in. It takes some wiggling, but in they go. There are fasteners at the top to tighten them around her feet. She's 5 and hasn't quite figured out how to adjust them on her own yet, but I like that, because she still need adult supervision on these. My 8 year old figured them out and keeps trying to help his sister, so they can be figured out; she just hasn't yet. It also comes with everything you need, even the hardware to tighten the wheels if need be. The biggest reason I gave these a 4 instead of 5 stars is that while they do adjust, and adjustment is fairly easy with a knob, it is hard to determine just how much you're adjusting the skate. Espeically if a child is impatient or wiggly, it might make the process challenging. If a notch feature was added so I could at least guestimate what "size" I'm making the skate, that would make it way easier.
