I ordred this baby next day shipment and i got it less than 24 hours. The only reason i'm giving it a 4 stars in because Fedex just left the package in my front porch without signature or anything, luckily i saw the Fedex guy as he was getting in his truck and grabbed the box right away. Had a bad expirence las week where Fedex left my ps4 in the front porch and no one was home for hours and the box was taken. Amazon did refunded me the money. Fedex should NOT leave packages just like that specially if they are expensive items. Anyway...... This product is amazing. This is the second midi controller I owed. Still working on my traktor software skills. Previously used Numark pro with Virtual DJ. This product is well packaged and well protected. There is no cd installation for Traktor pro 2. I already had Traktor installed on my Mac and Traktor was not recognizing the S2. I had to unistall and download Traktor Pro 2 from Native's website. Inside the box there is a card with the product and serial number to download and activate the product. Once you do this it should work. I'm not sure if the midi controller will work by just plugging in the USB but i plug in the a/c adapter to the wall (which comes with different adapter plugs for other contries). Inside the box there is also keyboard short codes for Traktor Pro 2 and map showing you what each section of the Midi does. The s2 is very well made. The LED lights a very bright which you can adjust the brightness of the LEDs inside the settings of Traktor Pro 2 software. You can also change the button for the Remix section to whatever color you want for each button. I was messing around with the Remix section. I'm still trying to figure out exacly how to save and load remix that I've customized. You can load samplers or loops. I don't know how to set up the latency of the buttons for the Remix yet, but it works really good. I have not had the chance to mess with the IOS feature. It does come with an IOS device cable not the new lighiting cable but the older one. I have an Android device which S2 does not support. (i knew i should of stayed with iphones!) Anyhow, this is a great investment for any mobile or pro DJ. ... show more

If you're looking for a great beginner controller, or a simple backup for a more advanced set, this is the one. Not only are the usability and features amazing, easy-to-learn, and intuitive on this controller, but Native Instruments is one of the most genuine DJ companies I've found. They're incredibly responsive to issues, generous to their customers (the holiday giveaways they have been doing are evidence of this), and forward-thinking. Received the team packed with your accessories, but I realized that does not work the mic connection. I've tried several cables and there is no signal, even moving the gain button. Unfortunately I am not satisfied, I'm in Venezuela and I took a lot to bring this team. Pedro San Miguel

Weird way that the Microphone has to be optioned for it to work you lose the ability to use the actual mixer, that is NOT good, other than that the hardware works great with the software on the computer. Hate it that the Mic won't work when optioned as a mixer.

Got this over a yr now . Two things to note 1. If the firmware isn't updated on the device it will randomly freeze on u . NI has releases the firmware to fix this 2. The mic doesn't work out the box as with the s2mk1 . U have to manually set it , which is quite simple . Other than that, the devices works good . One problem I have noticed is the 2nd cue button tend to stuck on one of my sides , it happens also with the mk1 Otherwise it works really nice , very portable, tight latency , u can scratch , cut , mix everything with it .. I got this today. I bought this because I already owned Trakor Pro and it wasn't clear whether some of the other DJ controllers would work with Traktor. The unit has kind of a flimsy plastic feel and the faders aren't very smooth. I question how well it will hold to use. The manual is terrible, it is more focused on the software than on the controller itself. I couldn't get the mic to work at all and I had to google it to find a description of how to make it work. Once I got the mic working it became clear how bad the mic control is, the gain control is on the back of the unit, you can't control mic volume from the front. You have to setup the mic input in software and turn up the aux in - in the software. My mic wouldn't get very loud. I would also like an xlr mic input since that is the professional standard. I am sending this back and getting a Denon MC4000 that has 2 mic inputs (1 xlr and 1 - 1/4") with volume controls on the front of the unit. It aslo turns out the Denon will control Traktor. Bought this as a gift for my son, and he says it is awesome. He mixes his own music and loves all the features and the ease of use in this compact unit. It appears to be very high quality, and from my point of view, it lights up like a 'time machine' when he is using it to create an amazing mix of great sounds and music.
