I ordred this baby next day shipment and i got it less than 24 hours. The only reason i'm giving it a 4 stars in because Fedex just left the package in my front porch without signature or anything, luckily i saw the Fedex guy as he was getting in his truck and grabbed the box right away. Had a bad expirence las week where Fedex left my ps4 in the front porch and no one was home for hours and the box was taken. Amazon did refunded me the money. Fedex should NOT leave packages just like that specially if they are expensive items. Anyway...... This product is amazing. This is the second midi controller I owed. Still working on my traktor software skills. Previously used Numark pro with Virtual DJ. This product is well packaged and well protected. There is no cd installation for Traktor pro 2. I already had Traktor installed on my Mac and Traktor was not recognizing the S2. I had to unistall and download Traktor Pro 2 from Native's website. Inside the box there is a card with the product and serial number to download and activate the product. Once you do this it should work. I'm not sure if the midi controller will work by just plugging in the USB but i plug in the a/c adapter to the wall (which comes with different adapter plugs for other contries). Inside the box there is also keyboard short codes for Traktor Pro 2 and map showing you what each section of the Midi does. The s2 is very well made. The LED lights a very bright which you can adjust the brightness of the LEDs inside the settings of Traktor Pro 2 software. You can also change the button for the Remix section to whatever color you want for each button. I was messing around with the Remix section. I'm still trying to figure out exacly how to save and load remix that I've customized. You can load samplers or loops. I don't know how to set up the latency of the buttons for the Remix yet, but it works really good. I have not had the chance to mess with the IOS feature. It does come with an IOS device cable not the new lighiting cable but the older one. I have an Android device which S2 does not support. (i knew i should of stayed with iphones!) Anyhow, this is a great investment for any mobile or pro DJ. ... show more

Bought this as a gift for my son, and he says it is awesome. He mixes his own music and loves all the features and the ease of use in this compact unit. It appears to be very high quality, and from my point of view, it lights up like a 'time machine' when he is using it to create an amazing mix of great sounds and music. If you're looking for a great beginner controller, or a simple backup for a more advanced set, this is the one. Not only are the usability and features amazing, easy-to-learn, and intuitive on this controller, but Native Instruments is one of the most genuine DJ companies I've found. They're incredibly responsive to issues, generous to their customers (the holiday giveaways they have been doing are evidence of this), and forward-thinking. Weird way that the Microphone has to be optioned for it to work you lose the ability to use the actual mixer, that is NOT good, other than that the hardware works great with the software on the computer. Hate it that the Mic won't work when optioned as a mixer.

I love this controller worked fine for a week untill tracks started having this poping noise and rumbling bass i thought my speaker where blown out but no thats not the case because when i run tracktor with a aux cord and no Traktor s2 mk2 it plays perfectly fine through my system but when i plug the control in it makes these popping and rumbling noises 2 the track but only when i play it like theres some effect on it... i called NI support and they said it might be a latency issue but that dosnt make any sense if i am able to play it with out the controller why cant it play with it when its worked before? i am on correct setting's and always have my drivers updated too so it cant be outdated software... im just going to assume it's defected been about a week and i still cant figure out whats wrong and all the help didnt help this sucks! ... show more

the software isn't as user friendly as I thought it would be and I've had a few issues with settings but luckily I've resolved my issues. The quality is great, it's very responsive, and everyone loves the colorful lights. great interface and light up buttons, i makes it really easy to create and mix music. the computer software is superb and if you are not in need of very advance features, you don't need the S4 as this pack great features. if you are just starting this is set is great for you.
