Description

Our Native American style G flutes are all made out of the same high quality locally sourced western red cedar. Please read carefully as some options don’t come with bags. The key of G is a wonderful choice for beginner flute players with medium sized hands. Most people find the finger hole reach to be comfortable, though we do make a smaller flute which is in the key of A for our smaller handed customers. People find the deeper tone of the G flute to be soothing and meditative. Our flutes all come with a detailed instructional booklet and QuickStart guide. The booklet includes a pictorial guide to playing several scales, no music reading necessary! The book also contains QR code links to our video tutorials which will further guide you on your flute journey. Some of the package options contain our hand made black polar fleece flute bag, with logo and shoulder strap. Our flute bags are made from a high quality, anti pill, polar fleece with an embroidered logo patch, durable nylon shoulder strap, and leather synch. Heartwood Cedar with Bag -This package includes a heartwood cedar flute, instructional booklet, and fluffy black polar fleece bag with shoulder strap. Golden Cedar, no Bag -This package includes a golden cedar flute and an instructional booklet. No bag is included. Iron Stained Cedar with Bag -This Package includes an iron stained cedar flute, instructional booklet, and fluffy black polar fleece bag with shoulder strap. About The Wood All of our cedar flutes are made from the same kind of wood though they look quite a lot different. The appearance is cosmetic and doesn’t effect the voice of the flute at all. Western red cedar is a light weight wood and it is considered sacred to many of our PNW tribes. The lightness of the wood adds a resonant the voice of the flute which you can feel in your hands and chest as you play. It is a favorite among flute makers and is considered a traditional wood for the Native Flute! Golden cedar and Heartwood cedar are both unstained western red cedar. The heartwood cedar will be a rich red brown color. Our Golden cedar flutes are made from a lighter color of wood, a rich honey to caramel in color. Our Iron stained cedar was originally golden in color but it has a transparent , natural and food safe iron stain applied which reacts with the tannins found in the wood to darken each flute uniquely!
