  • Smaller stepping stones, bow under adult weight, great grip
These are perfect for little feet. It comes with a little spinner so you can make a game out of it for kids, mine preferred to use them for free play. Each stone is as listed, but somehow 9 inches seems smaller in real life than in my head. My kids enjoy jumping between each stone, which makes me so grateful they have the grip around the bottom so they don't fall. They can stack which makes them compact for storage. My children's favorite game has been using them as sitting spots. I think these are great for younger kids, but not for older kids as their feet will get too big and they are all the same shape and height, which makes them less challenging (and entertaining) for older children. Additionally, I am currently around 150 and I can feel the plastic bowing under my weight, so I would disagree with the stated "up to 150 lbs" Overall a fun addition to younger children's active toys. ... show more

  • Great stepping stones but minimal bang for your buck
Although these balance stepping stones are pretty great and generally have good grip and don't slide, my biggest gripe is simply the bang for your buck. You're getting 6 steps at the $24.99 price point, and realistically if you want a large worthwhile play area, you would need two to four sets (12 to 24 stones) at upwards of $100. Otherwise I think you're mostly gearing towards one child if only because you cannot have two children jumping towards the same color stone. So almost out of necessity with multiple children you would need multiple same colored stones. ... show more

  • a little smaller.
The non-slip stepping stones are impressively well-crafted, showcasing excellent construction and durability. Children thoroughly enjoy playing with them, finding endless entertainment in these stepping stones. One minor observation is that they are slightly on the smaller side, but this doesn't seem to diminish the enjoyment or functionality of the product in any significant way. ... show more

  • A little small- stack for easy storage
These are molded plastic stones. All the same size so they stack in a small box. But different colors. It also has a spinner to play a game. We use this for “floor is lava”. It’s cute and nice to use something that won’t slip like a pillow. I took off a star because they are pretty small. For my 4 year old, she can step on them just fine. I wear a women size 9 and my foot is hanging off both sides. So for little kids it’s fine, but big kids/adults it’s hard to stand on them. It would have been better if they were much larger. The plastic is a hard, molded plastic. They seem pretty sturdy. But probably meant for under 150 pounds. For home use, they are good. But for a daycare type setting, I’m not sure how long they would last. ... show more

  • Very fun project with the children
One of the conundrums with arts and crafts projects is often what do we do with all these things when they're done. Well these little stepping stones have the answer built right in. You find a neat place to put them outside. This makes them fun to do and fun to look at for months and years to come.

  • They are exactly what you expect, and yet my kids do like to play with them.
As any parent knows, whether or not your kid likes a toy often has little to do with whether or not it's a "good" product. I got these because my kids love playing "The Floor is Lava" (what kid doesn't), and my daughter especially is sometimes really into putting things on the ground to step on while avoiding said lava. I knew they would literally just be a set of different-colored artificial pseudo-rocks with a color-selection spinner, and that's indeed what they are. They are, however, a well-made version of that, if it's what you think you/your kids might want: 1) They're not slippery. The bottom and top sides are grippy enough to not send your kids flying. 2) They're big enough for kid feet. My small children (2.5 and 4.5 years) can stand on them with both feet. 3) They're sturdy enough to not be in danger from kids leaping from one to the other. 4) They're six different colors, which allows you to play the simple almost-game suggested in the instructions, with the included spinner, or use them for other games/activities that are color-contingent. If you have some nice rocks or logs in an area outside, they could probably have just as much fun with those. If you happen to be inside, and want something your kids won't break or slip on for them to prance across and stand on, you could do worse than these. So far my kids do keep wanting to play with them, which is good. Often they want me to spin the spinner for them, which isn't always as desirable, but nothing's perfect. Sometimes they do spin for each other, and that's the holy grail. ... show more

  • Stays in place
These stepping stones surprisingly stay in place very well. The bottom outline has a rubber type of material that keeps it from sliding. Each stone is an identical size and shape so they easily stack when not in use. The colors are vibrant and eye-catching. They are not very high, so I do not feel as if it is dangerous for my kids to accidentally misstep. The wheel is a nice touch that turns it into a game. both my two and four-year-old love this! ... show more

  • Great and sturdy
These are great stepping stones - I use them in a pediatric clinic and they have stood up to lots of wear and tear (including throwing). I initially bought them because I thought that the tops were a soft rubber. They are not but the plastic still has good enough grip that it doesn't matter. Plus they grip the ground really well on carpet and tile - so the kids never feel like the stone is slipping out from under them. Plus colors are bright and really fun! Well worth it! ... show more
