This perfume is housed in such an understated and yet beautiful bottle. Comes in a really nice box as well. The label was a little wonky and coming off in some areas, but still really pretty. I love the magnetic cap; it’s just kind of fun to take on and off. My first impression of this is it’s sort of citrusy and lemony. It then dries down to something that I recognize, but I can’t put my finger on the notes. It’s nice and fresh but still has a bit of sweet perfume smell. I think I can smell some herb-ness on the dry down. Maybe it's just my nose, but I definitely don't smell salt or the sea in this, like the description says. I think this would be suitable for any person to wear; I wouldn’t label it masculine or feminine. It definitely doesn’t last forever, but I kind of expect that from fresher fragrances. Also, Jo Malone colognes aren’t known for having the best longevity either.

Not sure this smells like the original but does smell very good. Fresh, woody, clean but fades quick. Don’t think it’s a bad purchase for the price.

I truthfully never heard of Dossier until recently. I figured, due to the low cost, it wasn’t going to be any good. But wow, I am SO happy I decided to get these (I got 2 scents at once): the Dossier - Fruity Brown Sugar - Eau de Parfum and then this one, the Dossier - Woody Sage - Eau de Parfum ! I know this says it’s inspired by J.Malone's Wood Sage & Sea Salt …I’ve never smelled or tried it, so have no clue if the two are similar. BUT, this perfume is nice!! I *truthfully* prefer the other scent I got, the Fruity Brown Sugar, but it really is all about personal preference. Top Notes: Fig Tree, Grapefruit Middle Notes: Marine Notes, Ambrette Base Notes: Clary Sage, Amberwood The first thing I smelled was .. trees haha. I guess the Fig Tree and Clary Sage stood out to me the most. I’m more of a fruity/floral scent type of gal, so it’s not my favorite but it’s not bad!! I actually feel that this definitely can be unisex! It goes on strong at first but does fade. But it doesn’t disappear immediately. AT ALL! The first time I tried it, I applied to both wrists and my neck. I got in the shower right after (I usually try perfumes before my shower just in case I don’t like the scent and can wash it off of me haha), BUT, I could still smell it on my wrists when I got out of the shower! And I have been wearing almost every day since I got it and it lasts me a good 4-5 hours (and I might just be getting used to the scent but others may be able to still smell it)! I’m a huge fan of this brand!! And I am SO excited to check out more of their scents!! 10 out of 10 recommend! And it also would make a great and inexpensive gift!!

The fragrance is nice but having used it once it does not last. My daughter couldn't smell it after the second hour. It is not returnable so I will not be order any more fragrances from Dossier/Amazon.

This Dossier, Woody Sage "Eau de parfum" smells AMAZING. It's earthy, woodsy, and citrusy. It has depth and a tiny bit of musk, yet it's fresh, crisp, and clean at the same time. It definitely has more of a natural fragrance, and not so much the aggressive, nose-tickling type fragrances that are found with typical perfumes, and I am 100% here for it. My nose is sensitive to perfumes these days and I can't handle a typical perfume at all, but the more natural perfumes, like this Woody Sage, and some perfume oils don't seem to bother me. What I love about this Woody Sage (and oils) is that I can build the scent up and control how much I want, instead of having a sneeze fest and headache after just one spritz like I can have with typical perfumes. This particular scent seems to fade a bit faster than typical perfume does, so even if I do apply "too much" (which I have yet to do despite occasionally using more than I typically would) I won't still be suffering 6 hours later. I've been enjoying using Woody Sage for a few weeks now, and I've not yet grown tired of using it. I think it would be an excellent scent for anyone who enjoys a more natural, and subtle fragrance.

The Woody Sage eau de parfum is a charming, light, woody blend that the description said is inspired by a Jo Malone fragrance that I’m not familiar with. The fragrance is also described as having a high concentration of essential oils, which is supposed to contribute to a richer and more immersive experience. While the scent is lovely, it doesn’t last long and needs frequent reapplication. The plain, but sophisticated packaging of the Woody Sage perfume adds an element of luxury. The magnetic cap on the bottle is handy, especially if you need to uncap it single-handedly.
