One of the key pieces of my shelf was manufactured with a small but significant defect. It was only apparent when I went to screw in the screws, a visual check would not see the issue. I called their customer service phone number, fully expecting absolutely no help (it was also a Saturday). All I was hoping for was a replacement of the one board that was faulty. Instead the call was answered fast, the rep was super helpful and friendly, she organized a completely new entire shelf set to be delivered without me even asking. She followed up via email (I sent a few photos of the defect). Once the new shelf was delivered, I received another follow up email to check the new one was fine. And unbelievably, I just now received in the mail a small box of chocolates with a note thanking me for my patience!!! I thought I was buying a moderately priced/questionable quality shelf from Amazon, I had low expectations - not only is the shelf extremely nice quality (I’ve bought three now) but their customer service shows a level of dedication in their product that is astonishingly rare these days. I live in a smaller condo and was a little hesitant to purchase this ladder bookshelf due to the size.....but I am so happy I purchased! I have two and they both fit so well in our smaller space. Both were super easy to assemble. My husband and I worked together to anchor the shelf to the wall and we were super pleased with how it turned out. Was in dier need of an organizational tool for my daughter's toys. This shelf was a GAME CHANGER! I wish I had a before pic to show how awfully messy my daughter's toy space was. The shelf (so far) holds up well. We live in an old apartment so installing the achors for holding up the full shelf was a must. I am worried about the durability over time, but time will tell. Very happy with how these turned out. Some of the legs were not 100% straight, so screwing them in was a challenge. For the price, though, the results are great. It also is pretty low profile in terms of depth, so fits very well where I wanted them, behind a closet door. The bottom shelf height is perfect for clearing my high baseboards. Assembly was pretty straightforward. It definitely helped that I had an electric drill with the right bit for an Allen wrench head thingy. It probably would have been easier if I had 2 people, particularly to prop the shelf up and hold in place while screwing into the wall. Overall a good find on Amazon! ... show more

Although I love this product as you can see in the picture some of the actual gold sides do not sit straight they are a little bit bent I believe this to be a product issue I did not notice it until I put the item together and attached to the wall I am going to reach out to customer service to see what can be done. Love these shelves. They are great for the price. The only issue I had was with the magazine holders fitting on the shelves. The standard 12” tall holders only fit on the top shelf so I had to purchase 10.7” holders to fit on the shelves below. Not a big deal but wanted to make sure to mention it.
