This mat is pretty but to be honest, it's just a beach mat. I'm keeping it because I am too lazy to send it back but it is just a folded up beach mat. It comes folded up in a clear plastic bag. Pros—nice that it arrived in a bag and colors are vibrant. Easy to clean & store. Cons—I think it’s overpriced for being plastic. It looks like a tarp to me, not like a rug. The plastic had an odor that was bothersome. Just a few minutes in the sun and the plastic was uncomfortably hot. As others said, it doesn’t lie flat. Being plastic, it probably never would.
