I bought this to replace the gel dots that came with a lightweight blackout curtain, which had lost their stickiness. We put the curtain material up every day for our grandsons' nap and take it down thereafter. This stuff does adhere to the painted metal window frame just fine, but the side attached/re-attached to the curtain itself dirties up rather quickly. And while this is supposed to be washable, that wasn't my experience. I think if you were to use this stuff to stick two items together that you didn't plan on separating for a while, it would be fine. It just doesn't lend itself well to repeated attaching/unattaching/re-attaching over time type projects like mine. 3m double-sided tape works better but is more difficult to remove from the window frame (use a hair dryer to warm it up...). Cutting the tape is a little challenging but not a huge deal, as is storing the tape after unpackaging (the sides of the tape roll are sticky too). 5 stars for other uses 3 stars for my situation ... show more

I think the name "tape" is a little bit of a s-t-r-e-t-c-h. This stuff is more like contained goo. Once it sticks to something it has to be deformed a lot to get off. And it sticks to everything. I would only recommend this for surfaces that cannot be marred, like glass, plastic, etc. Not things like painted walls or porous surfaces like paper. You'll never get it off or it will mess up the surface. So, I think it's very useful if you adjust your expectations. Use only a small patch, since it is really adhesive. I attached some plastic containers to a wall, and they hold very nicely (with a little weight but not too much).

Be careful what you put this on because it really sticks well! Used in RV to secure small boxes to counter. Had to break apart a piece of art to unstick it from the wall-oops. It realld works better than any other tape I've found.

This is the BEST hanging tape for teachers! It is the only tape that held my laminated posters to the brick wall. I have literally tried ALLLLLL the tricks! It did well on my Better than Paper as well. I just peeled slowly when removing it. I’ve also used it at home to hold my outdoor rug to the cement when winds come through. Stuff sticks like crazy. If you need to remove it, either leave a tail sticking out (like they do with command strips) so you can pull on it and it will release OR twist the object that's stuck down. When I didn't leave a long enough tail I was at a loss how to remove it without completely ripping out the wood paneling that my broom holder was attached to with this stuff. Then I got the idea to rotate the broom clip and it finally released. ... show more
