  • Deciniee Nail Kit for Beginners w/(almost) Everything: Acrylic Set & Practice Finger, Drill (Purple)
Color: Purple
when they say it comes with Everything... well it kinda almost does. including a gorgeously sparkly zippy case. the main graphic in their gallery is a bit misleading because everything is pictured twice - but there's only one of each item. as annoying as that is, for the current $28 price i still think it is a pretty amazing value! is anything here professional quality? no. well, maybe the two nail files and the dappen dish, but those are pretty universal. that said, there are several brushes and polka-dotting tools in this kit that are very nice. identical to ones i have purchased for myself and have been using for a couple of years, so i'm glad to get some newer ones! there's an instructions sheet talking about using the practice hand - and there's no such critter in the box. the picture in the gallery - with everything duplicated? also has a nail cutter, for shaping the plastic nail tips (metal with a pink handle) but a little further down the page when they list out the contents it is not mentioned - and i did not get one. there's one bottle of gel top coat - be aware that it will not dry without the proper lamp to fully cure it. and the little lamp in this kit is not going to. the little lamp in this kit is a flash cure type... which means it will cure the polish enough to hold it in place until you finish the rest of that hand... then it needs to go into a proper LED/UV lamp to get it set all the way through. best to do your own research on that sort of thing. the little lamp is awesome for any glow-in-the-dark stuff you have, though. which is all i think it is really good for. then there's the drill! it is not cordless, it does need to be plugged in to work... it has a usb-A cable and i used it connected to a battery pack thingum so i could take it outside... where the breeze took care of the dust from the filing. and, yeah, honestly for the brushes, the drill, and the pretty sparkly case? i think those things alone are worth the price. all the other stuff just becomes a bonus. ... show more

  • I Love My Practice Finger!!
Color: Blue
This nail kit has everything! From a nail drill and a UV light to decals and buffing blocks...they're all good quality too. It's great for a beginner and then some. I've painted my nails a few times and used a UV light, but that's about it. I've been doing my own nails under a year, but this has everything I've wanted to try. I never know what I'll like, or if I have the skill and want to know what different effects will look like before I put them on my nails. I've now tried decals, and even quick fixes with nail tips. I'll never go back to a salon. I can take pack this to-go as well which is fantastic. I took everything out of the kit and was able to get it back in! So, it's also perfect for travel. I love the "practice finger"! I am constantly trying things before I use them. It may be a color to match my outfit or just how it looks on me once it's applied. Now, I can't wait to use this kit with my nieces! I've never done another person's nails before but I've applied nail tips on a little plastic finger! This is a fantastic kit to share, to travel and to sample everything you ever wanted to try. I can't even imagine how much this would cost to buy everything individually. It's a lot of fun and an incredible bargain. This would make a phenomenal gift. ... show more

  • A good kit for the absolute beginner
Color: Sliver
This is a cute little nail kit for someone trying to figure out if they really want to do their nails at home. It has almost everything you need with one vital and critical missing part. A decent nail drying lamp. The lamp included is only a 6 watt lamp is a flash curing lamp. It won’t cure a gel polish or a gel glue to the point of proper polymerization or full cure. Basically, if you try to use it for gel polish or gel glue, you would likely have uncured and very dangerous product on your hands. You need a 36-48 watt UV lamp to cure gel polish safely. If you do use this 6 watt lamp, do not skimp on that full 2 minutes of curing time. You need it. Otherwise, the monomer makes a good bead with the acrylic powder and it gives a pretty good flow on both the paper forms and the nail tips. The glue sticks down really well. I don’t like the glitters. They feel more like craft glitters and I prefer a finer glitter for nail work almost like a mica powder, but the glitter they sent is more affordable for a kit like this. The brushes are not nail art brushes. They are just cheap paint brushes and will shed hair onto the nails when used so they should be moistened and pre-plucked so that the stray hairs don’t pull out. They sent instructions for using a model hand but they only sent a model finger and there are no instructions for how to use it so you’ll have to set up one finger at a time if you want to use the model finger which to me, makes it useless. Switching it out over and over is going to get tedious. It would be better if they had just sent a magnetic plate with the little nail stands. The finger is weird and creepy looking to me. I likely wouldn’t use it. The drill is made completely of plastic. I have no idea how safe that is. The part that holds the drill bit is plastic. The part that gets hot when the drill bit rotates at high speeds is plastic. The end of mine fell off. I don’t know if I would use it or at least not for very long. The bits, however, are great, and I would use those in my other drills or even my dremel. I’m not really a kit person. I honestly think you are better off to buy a few things at a time and get quality individual items that you won’t want to replace in a month or two. That said, if you really don’t know if you like doing your nails at home yet, then this kit is a great way to figure it out before you spend a lot of money on supplies you can’t return. For that reason, I would recommend it. If you already know you like doing your nails at home, then this kit is not going to be a value for you. You already use better quality supplies by now and you already have a lot of favorite brands that won’t be out done by these. ... show more
