This robe is exactly what I was looking for- I live in Texas on the Gulf Coast, so it is hot here about 9 months out of the year, and the remaining three months are a split personality of weather. I needed a robe that I could comfortably wrap around me that would cover not-fit-for-company pajamas, various states of undress, or just nothing, so that I could answer the door or pop outside quickly if needed. This robe is just that- it wraps comfortably around me, not tooooo large, and definitely not too small! The length of the robe is a little less that pictured- I'm 5'8" and it hits me mid calf (which is actually what I wanted) and the sleeves are just over 3/4 length (short enough they won't get caught in things). I like that its not shawl collar so nothing needs to fold over or can get un-pressed when washed. The darker heather grey was what I was looking for, and its pretty hard to find in a robe! This robe is not cotton, but rather a rayon-polyester blend. Its quite thin, so it will pack well, but it won't add a tremendous amount of warmth if that is what you need. It will help with the A/C chill that we get on summer nights in Texas, though. It is not see-through when worn, only when there is backlighting to the fabric can you see through it. The pockets are along the seam, so they are easy to use. I will be using this at home and when I travel so I have some cover- I've never had a robe that was truly packable, but I was so shocked by the size of this package when I recieved it that I know it will work out well. The only drawback I have found (which is easily remedied in 5 minutes with a needle and thread and ultra-basic skills) is that there are no belt loops at your hips, only the large pass-through loop at the back of the robe. This means that if you wear the robe open, and then need to close it, you either need to gather the tie before closing the robe, or its more awkward to tie it closed after wrapping it around you. Like I said, easy fix- add two loops at the hip seam for the belt to pass through and hang there. This didn't really make sense to me until I had the robe on and was trying to tie it closed and realized I have to reach around to my back for the ties. Very small problem, and not worth not buying this wonderful robe over, IMO! I had my eye on this robe and a cotton one from Jockey that had a stitched in belt, but that one didn't come in the grey I was looking for. I figured I'd start here and then try that one if needed. Well, not needed! (I'm sure the Jockey one is nice, that brand is great, but the colors were limited there).

WOW! I love the silky feel of this robe. It isn’t too hot either and drapes beautifully, but doesn’t cling. Just has an elegant feel. The tie can come off of the robe for ease of washing. Hate it when the tie gets all tangled up in knots. It’s easy to slip back thru the thick tab in the back. It doesn’t wrinkle either- I’m just loving everything about this robe. I liked it so much I bout one for my Aunt too.

I am 6 foot tall with wide hips and a fairly ample bust. I ordered the 3x because I wanted one that would remain closed in the front even when I sat down (other robes tend to gap at my hips when I order my true size). The sleeves are a perfect length but not too baggy, the length hits me just above my ankles, and the waist tie is plenty long enough. My only complaint is that the fabric of the robe is very thin. It's soft and silky, but I can definitely see light through the body of it.

After reading other positive reviews, I decided to buy this robe. I've never been a robe person, but I'm going on a cruise next week and wanted to be able to sit on our balcony early in the mornings. Let me just say - this robe is amazing!!! It is so incredibly soft and comfortable! It's not heavy and hot, and the material is quality enough that it is not see-through either. It fits true to size as well. I am planning to buy at least one more in the black so I will have a spare in case something happens to this one. If I find other colors, I would definitely consider buying those as well! This was a great buy!

I purchased for after I had a surgery for my hospital stay, and it was perfect! It has the tie in the front to keep it more secure, and it did not put pressure on my belly. I weigh 310lbs and bought a 3xl and there was plenty of room to wrap it around me! Plus it’s so soft, I got so many compliments from the nurses and other staff!

Love this robe! It’s kind of expensive but worth the price. It is full length, nice and long (I’m 5’6 and it goes to my ankles). I got the heather gray which is a little darker than the picture but very nice. Great material, like a really soft t-shirt. You can wash and dry it no problem. I got the 3x and there is plenty of extra room, so it’s perfect for something comfortable to lounge around in and has plenty of cover to wear outside ( if you go out to get the paper or your mail). Nice belt detail in the back. Would recommend, great plus size robe!

The Natori Women's Plus-Size Congo Robe is made of a thin, almost t-shirt like fabric. The sleaves are 3/4 length (not long as described) and it does not have a shawl collar as described. The photo suggests a two-toned effect, but it's all one shade and texture. There are no belt loops. Instead, there is a strip of fabric on the back of the robe the belt runs through (sort of like the channel for a hoodie string only much shorter and wider. It's rather high on the back, which means it doesn't tie anywhere near my natural waist. This design also means that, when untied, the belt drags behind on the floor. I've washed the robe only twice, and it already looks worn and nubby, like an old, cheap t-shirt. The pockets also bulged after the first wash so don't lie flat. This, coupled with the curious belt placement, = the Natori Women's Plus-Size Congo Robe isn't at all flattering. It is softish and lightweight though, which is great for summer. I doubt it will hold up through the end of the season though, which is disappointing for a nearly $60 item. It looks and feels like a robe one might find at a big box store for $25. I would consider this a disposable item, something you might purchase on vacation from a cheap place because you forgot your robe and don't care if the replacement lasts longer than the getaway.
