After you add your first shelf, measure with a garment you will be hanging... you may have to raise shelf to desired height before adding next poles. If you are placing hooks, and a shelf end will be against wall, place hooks on middle of first set of lower poles before adding second shelf & on half way up on upper set of poles before adding last shelf. . Place your last set of clips to very top of poles for top shelf. Hope this helps...? ... show more

Very sturdy and the wheels are great. Worth the money. I use it for leather Jackets, coats, and regular jackets. There is still a little room for sweatshirts, shoes and the top has a guitar case on it.

A bit different that pictured, weakest part is center of shelf, little pressure and it bends down. > The frame of the shelf is solid. > The metal poles are nice and thick. x The side hooks of the hanging pole are only 1/2" inch wide, picture makes it looks like 2" inch wide. x The hanging pole moves loosely but once you hang your clothes, it gets steady. x Actual Black finish peels off easy when you slide the shelf on. x Black finish is nothing like the picture. x Wheels are the weakest, I DO NOT recommend you use this with the wheels. I really doubt this can really hold 1,000 pounds. I'm guessing, the most will be 600 pounds. ... show more

I got this rack to let my husband have his own personal closet, because I took up all the closet space in the studio. This was very heavy for me to lift into the house. My husband had to carry this into the house. My husband had no trouble putting this together, it took about 30 minutes if that. Unfortunately, I didn't take any measurements before getting this item so it was too big for the space I wanted to put this in. It moves around easily, because it has wheels on the bottom. If we had a garage this would be perfect in there. We eneded up giving this to a family member and they like having their families clothes ready for the day on this rack and having their everyday shoes on here as well. This is a nice quality rack with optimal storage space. This is a three tier storage rack with adjustable storage shelves. The shelves could all be used for storage or have to rack of clothes and one Accessible rack. It doesn't matter it can be used any way you see fit. The rack base Poles and wheels are heavy-duty and can hold a lot of weight. The rack are durable but a little thinner than I like, but so far, they hold off the weight of all the thing I store on it.
