Solid build
It's a little embarrassing how long I sat and looked at my carpet bunched up in the middle when there's a simple tool like this available to do the work easily. The teeth grab the carpet well and the build feels really sturdy. The place where you slam your knee into it is padded just enough to take the sting out. I recommend adding a little bit for a larger room, but this will do for small jobs. Overall I think this is a good value for the money based on the sturdiness and functionality. ... show more

Carpet Installation: A Profession Built Entirely on Spite and Knee Trauma
This thing does exactly what a carpet knee kicker is supposed to do, which is aggressively persuade carpet to cooperate through controlled violence. Build quality is solid. The body feels sturdy, the teeth grip well, and the padding is decent enough that your knee only mildly questions your life choices after extended use. No assembly really beyond basic adjustment and setup. It works well for stretching and positioning carpet during installs or repairs, especially in tighter spaces where a full stretcher setup would be overkill. Appearance is utilitarian and professional. Nobody buys a carpet kicker because it’s pretty. If they do, that’s a separate conversation.
