I've been naturally reviewing this item in my head for 2 months now lol... Every time I use it I feel so greatful it exists... It's sooo much better than the boppy for this newborn phase, OMG... I wish I had brought it with me to the hospital instead, but at leat I was forced to learn how to hold the baby well enough during my stay. I bought it immediately after bringing the baby home bc the boppy just wasn't it.... It's so firm that my baby gets to feed comfortably while relaxing in a good flat position. She loves falling asleep in it and since it's already flat its not so different for her when I transfer to the bassinet. My baby literally misses it when I don't use it. I love the back support and the way it hugs me without leaving any gaps. The downsides would be it can get a bit hot sometimes (but so soft!) , and I can tell my baby will outgrow it soon...since she's bigger now I'm starting to use the boppy for quick feeds during the day, but she still slips into the gap, gets hot and uncomfortable if she sleeps in it for too long. If I had to only pick one item to have, it would be it for sure! - and the eletric nail file as well, which I can only use while she sleeping on this. ... show more

This made nursing as a FTM so much easier. So many thoughtful features. I love the flat, firm surface as other pillows with rounded sides had my baby rolling into my belly. The buckle keeps the pillow in place if I have to stand up to get the baby from the bassinet, and the back gives great support regardless of where I’m sitting. 10/10 worth the money. I purchased the "gold" super deluxe. I loved using my regular deluxe grey one previously for ebf several kiddos. I ended up gifting it along to a family member after our last baby. Now expecting again, I purchased this similar one which is slightly thicker than the regular deluxe. I like that this one has a waterproof plastic cover over the middle portion where babies generally spit up, making it easier to protect the foam from milk seeping through. The color is more of a cantaloupe yellow versus dandelion yellow that is shown in the picture. Not a big deal to me but some people may be big on color coordination. Between this and the organic cotton one that I ordered, I will be keeping this one bc it actually has less of a chemical smell straight out of the package. Also, not sure why some people say these covers are difficult to take off and on to wash. You just have to unzip carefully and compress the foam as you zip. I've never had a problem. I also prefer the softer texture of the polyester. I am generally a very natural fabric kind of person, but when it comes to these, I feel like the polyester is softer against the skin. As for temperature regulation, when the weather gets hotter, I like to use a light cotton burp cloth, like a muslin one, laid across the top to both protect from spit up and have a little more sweat absorption for baby and my body and I only use it for feeds and then take baby off. The bumps on the top can be awkward at first until you figure out how to position your arms and baby's head and body and then I think it feels more stable than I ever felt with a regular pillow or boppy (look at their site or the picture it comes with for proper positioning). It takes some personal adjustments but once you get the hang of it, it's a very supportive pillow. ... show more

I struggled for weeks with the boppy pillow - it was not comfortable for me or my baby and made feeding more difficult as I had to use blankets and my body to keep it high up by my breast. This pillow is SO much better - it’s flat and doesn’t cause my baby to sink in towards my stomach and the strap keeps it up under my breast. It has excellent back support, and I feel immediate relief when using this. Unfortunately, it is so sturdy that my son doesn't really like laying on it. He has trouble staying latching while using this. It's rather bulky so I wouldn't suggest taking it to the hospital with you for your stay when delivering if you have c-section because it's kind of awkward to use in those tiny hospital beds. HOWEVER, if you plan to nurse in bed while at home this is a great choice for back support! My son just prefers me to be laying back on the couch, so I didn't really get to use mine much. I will be hanging on to it for any future babies I may have though!! I have a friend who uses this everyday, so I'd still recommend the product! If you like to nurse sitting straight in an upright position, this is definitely for you! If your baby prefers a more lazy-laid back approach to nursing, maybe consider something with more flexibility. I think it can probably be broken in to have more flexibility, but I just couldn't get my son to use it enough personally. ... show more

The part where the Velcro is sewn in has completely torn and lifted. So I’m not impressed with the quality and I would have returned it if I didn’t have to pay $20 for a box to ship it back. It does help your back while breast or bottle feeding (but so does a basic pillow…) I’d recommend purchasing, but I’d also recommend keeping the OG packaging in case you need to return. ... show more
