Every trumpeter 'needs' one, if not two of these kits. I had a Bach Stradivarius so believe me when I say the material is durable and ergonomic which means it won't wear and tear on your hands. The eco-friendly oil and lube, as well as the construction is essential if we want to be conscious of our environment and conserve our resources. The mouth piece brush and valve brush have covered tip to protect from scratching.

It did a great job at cleaning an old, neglected trombone. Great price point as well.

Most of this trumpet cleaning kit is decent. The mouthpiece brush and the valve casing brush have worked well. The bristles are a little stiffer than my other trumpet brushes. I prefer the soft bristles which feel less likely to scratch. I like the slide grease. It's thin and fast. It's easier to apply this kind with my finger than the kind that comes in a little ChapStick type tube. The worst item in the kit is the long snake brush. One of the brush heads snapped off while I was cleaning a trumpet. Luckily the head was easy to remove and the sharp metal ends didn't seem to scratch anything up. I'm hesitant to use any of the brushes though after this one broke. I'd only used it 3 or 4 times when it broke.
