Description

The Edsal UR245L-BLK Maxi-Rack is a standing five-shelf unit with a steel rack and shelves made of particle board. This unit has riveted beams and riveted braces that lock into corner post rivet holes for structural security. The corner post rivet holes are punched at 1-1/2" intervals for precise installation of shelves at desired height. The steel rack has a black powder- coated finish to resist chipping and corrosion.The assembled unit is 72 x 48 x 24 inches (H x W x D). (H is height, the vertical distance from lowest to highest point; W is width, the horizontal distance from left to right; D is depth, the horizontal distance from front to back.) This shelf unit has a rivet lock design for boltless assembly. Assembly instructions are included. A rubber mallet (sold separately) is recommended for assembly.Standing shelf units are commonly used to store items to help create organized, efficient, and safer work areas. Love these shelves, but not damaged when they are delivered in ripped and taped boxes with shelves corners chipped and showing. Parts were rattling around inside. Must have used a roll of tape to hold the box together. Returned 3.

Just finished assembling my new shelf and it took no time at all, easy-peezy; read the short instructions w pics and you'll be fine. I'm above 6' and that helped when joining the two sections together, otherwise just tip-toe or get a chair or stool. Eazy-Peezy.

THIS SHELF UNIT IS OK, BUT IM GLAD I WORK AT A SHOP TO WELD THE TWO HALVES TOGETHER. THIS SHELF UNIT EXPECTS THE MIDDLE SHELF BAR TO HOLD THE TWO HALVES TOGETHER, AND IT IS VERY WEAK IF YOU DONT WELD THE TWO HALVES TOGETHER. ONCE I TOOK CARE OF THE SHELVES BY WELDING THE UPRIGHTS TOGETHER THE SHELVES ARE VERY NICE. This is the 5th Edsal shelf we have purchased. We own three that are 18'' deep, but prefer this one that is 24''. We purchased this particular shelf to go in our garage to store our camping items. We wound up with an extra shelf for storage! We pulled the shelf off the wall by a couple of inches so the longer items can hang off the back. Pros: * It holds a lot of stuff * Two shelves are adjustable Cons: * It is a bit tricky to put together. It took two people. * The shelf material is a cheap particle board.The corners start to crumble right out of the box. However, once it is in place, it is very sturdy. * For this particular shelf the metal sides are slightly higher than the particle board. It is not a huge inconvenience, however our last shelf the boards were higher and I liked that much better. (See pictures.) I paid full price for this item. Quality, ok, toss out the boards it came with or add another sturdier piece underneath it, if you want it to hold anything heavy i doubt it will hold especially with time or if it gets wet, simple assembly
