I'm so happy to have come across these window shades with magnets. I've tried the cling on and the over the whole door type. These shades are exactly what I needed!! I can have the window down and still use the shade. The magnet sticks to the door frame and when it is closed, doesn't seem to cause an issue with the seal. This blocks the sun great!! Also it’s a little hard to see out of which can be even a safety concern. We can still see out of it, just have to be careful while driving! It’s easy to install and up until now is solid it isn’t going anywhere!

This product is exactly what I was looking for. It fits perfect for my 2021 Kia Sorento’s rear window. We have used it for almost a month and it has not moved an inch from its original position. The five-star rating is because the correct product is amazing and I don't want to tank its reviews, but I want to warn people who are considering buying it through Amazon that you may receive a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT product, and they WILL NOT REPLACE IT IF YOU DO. I ordered a set of these because my old car's AC is just not up to the challenge of high heat + blinding sunlight. Three of the ones I ordered were the right product, and they work WONDERFULLY. The magnet holders come between the window frame and the car door when the door closes and hold the shade securely enough that I can safely roll the window all the way down without worrying about the wind dislodging the shade, and the magnets are thin enough that they don't make it at all difficult for the door to close. The shades are easy to see out of and do a great job of blocking the sun. I just wish I hadn't ordered them from Amazon. They're the same price on other sites like Target; I just fell for the lure of slightly faster shipping. One of the "car window shades" I received was an entirely different product -- a pair of what I think are birdcage covers (see photo). I think someone must have ordered the car window shade and then returned it with these birdcage covers in its packaging instead of the actual car window shade, and it was shipped back out like new without ever once being inspected. I tried both online and phone customer support, extensively, and I have not been able to get a replacement for this item, nor even a refund unless I give the wrong item back and make this exact same thing happen to someone else. So: it's an excellent product, but DO NOT buy it here. Buy it from somewhere where someone will check that you are actually being sent the item you ordered, or at the very least will make it right if they screw up. ... show more

Finally a window shade that will actually fit over my car window that stays in place. I’ve been struggling with suction cup shades and they just don’t last long. I've been using this for almost four years now and recently ordered another one to put on the other side of my van for my new baby. I definitely like this way better than the window suction one that I had to use in my mom's car, but I do wish that it was just a little bit wider. It's a stretch to get it to fit across the windows of my van. It does also make it hard to see at night. If they weren't such a pain to install on sliding doors, I would maybe take them off more often at night, but as is, I always leave them in place. Otherwise, I really do love these sun shades. They help a ton and the magnetic installation is definitely much preferred to suction cups because I can still open and close the windows without compromising the shade. ... show more
