  • Excellent cocktail kit travel bag
Style: Bag
Fits a Sonor AQX Jungle 4pc kit perfectly, minus the snare drum. Almost like it was made for it. You will need another bag for stands. This has handy and useful pockets (think floor tom legs), but they are not large enough for a snare stand. Multiple handles in great spots so you have good leverage when having to pick it up off the ground. It rolls well and stands fine when filled. It will tip on me when empty or only the floor tom is in the bottom. Best to remove the bass drum legs when packing it in this. When the legs are left on the bass drum, the zipper is extremely tight. Handy (even if they are plastic) cinch clasps to relieve some pressure on the seams and zippers. ... show more

  • Perfect for my custom E kit conversion.
Style: Bag
This is a great bag! Fits my 10,12 inch toms. My 16 inch bass drum, plus my 12-inch Roland VAD snare pad! The wheels roll very smoothly! Very well built as well.

  • I’ve tried many case solutions this is the best
Style: Bag
This was the second one I purchased. I used the The first for 2 years for my Yamaha set and was very please with the design. I bought another one for my Ludwig set. The reason these bag designs are so great, in addition to safely holding your drums in an easy to load case with wheels, is the side pockets are well designed enough to hold the specific tom mounts and legs that will be needed for the particular drum set. The Ludwig drums are packed with the Ludwig hardware. Yamaha with Yamaha. Much less confusion before a gig. Cymbal stands and pedals used for both sets go in a different case. My first case shows no sign of wear and is very strong with an excellent zipper. The second case has new design features that protect the zipper even more. Finally, worth noting, If you need to set up and break down on a crowded stage, these cases can be loaded standing up. The drums are stacked and separated easily with the giant zippered opening . I’ve tried many case solutions this is the best UPDATE: The second case I purchased has a different design. Good and “less good”. On the good they’ve added straps to take sone stress off the zipper. The zipper is strong with or without the added straps. On the less good. side, they’ve changed the wheel setup. It seems the new version doesn’t stand up vertical as well as the old wheel setup. It tends to tip a little easier. I found It’s important to keep the heaviest and largest item at the bottom. For example, a 14” metal snare needs to be under a 13” light Floor tom. Seems obvious, but when I didn’t stack that way and also put my Pedal in at the top of the stack it became unstable. Just a note. I am very happy with both these cases and use them regularly. I would purchase again. Great idea and design. ... show more

  • Good bag in most respects
Style: Bag
I needed a set of bags for my new Gretsch 6-piece set. I bought this bag in the hopes that I could squeeze in my four toms. Their depths (7, 7, 8 and 14) total 36 inches, so I figured it would be a close call. Unfortunately, I just couldn't quite squeeze that last drum in. If I take out one of the 7" toms, my 5" snare fits in with no problem. Of course, I already have a case for my snare so that's not a desirable scenario for me. I found it a bit awkward to get the drums into the bag. The bag is not rigid, so it doesn't stand up on it's own. To load the drums you have to lie the bag down on the floor. Even then, the bag flops around freely, which makes it difficult to get the floor tom loaded. Once the first drum or two are in, the bag will stand on it's own, and the rest of the drums go in much easier. When bag is loaded, I found it to be quite convenient. It has lots of handles in all the right places which is great for loading into a vehicle. It also rolled easily, didn't tip over (I had nothing in the side pockets), and it fit nicely into the trunk of my car (Chrysler 300). There's not a lot of padding in the bag, so try not to bump it too much. But there are 3 padded spacers to keep the drums from banging into each other inside the bag, and the straps on the outside of the bag do a decent job of keeping the drums in place. Bottom line for me is that although it's a fine bag in most respects, it doesn't quite fit my drums, and I still find it preferable to use individual bags for each drum. With mixed emotions, I'll be returning it. ... show more

  • Two years of heavy use - review
Style: Bag
Hi all. I am playing about 100 gigs a year, and this bag has been with me for nearly two years. I can honestly say, this was an amazing purchase.... In the two years, of nearly constant abuse, the bag still feels almost like new. I would buy this again and again and again. Two Year Report: PROS: Fast and easy way to carry floor tom and two ride toms (or whatever your configuration is). Nice protection for the drums. Dividers between drums are well executed and flexible for any configuration. Side pockets are huge, can carry quite a bit. Strong - this has taken two years of abuse and still going strong. Just buy it... the amount of time saved unpacking, packing, transporting, and storing your toms will pay for itself in a gig or three. CONS: (These are all just splitting hairs, nothing seriously problematic) -- The wheels are important (though even fully loaded with drums, the bag is light) but they are slightly under-engineered. They work PERFECTLY, but it is super easy to have the bag want to rotate off the wheels. If they gave just a little more width to the stance of the wheels, it would roll with much more stability. -- Another engineering thing... on the wheels and handle side of the bag, there are a bunch small (2"?) "skid" plates sewn to the bag. This is to basically give the bag "feet" when laying it down, but also to help protect the drums when sliding the bag in and out of the van. One of those feet snagged and broke off, and I am protecting the others from breaking off. If this was engineered properly, these would be long skid rails (like 2 feet long). Less likely to catch on hard edges, and they would actually be efficient at skidding the bag over hard edges without damaging the drums. ... show more

  • Great value, good quality
Style: Bag
Don't know why I didn't get this years ago. Able to fit my 14x16 floor tom, 8x10 and 10x12 toms as well as 6.5x13 snare at one time. It was very snug, but fit. Sturdy build, good price, I would buy again.
