The 25mm steel construction frame and two, 100 lb. capacity wheels can support the weight of the drum hardware providing a smooth roll. Two generously large side accessory pockets, one large front pocket, and one top storage pocket provide ample storage for drum keys, stick bags, and other drummer accessories. The GP-DRUMCART interior dimensions are 40” X 10” X 10”, the 2 large side pockets are 22” X 6” X 2”. I gig quite often, This bag is big and can hold a lot. The main reason i purchased was because it was long enough so that i didn't have to completely break down my stands, just fold in the legs and boom. The one HUGE bummer is that i bought this bag at the end of april, the clip for the strap broke on sep. 29th. The reason is broke is the clips are made of cheap plastic, if they were metal clips im pretty sure this bag would be awesome. (for reference, I had 3 cymbals stands (med-light weight), hi hat stand, snare stand, floor tom legs in the bag when clip broke, same amount of gear i had carried in the same bag for months.) ... show more

    • The best hardware case I've ever used

I've been playing in bands for over 20 years and I've been through several hardware cases. The most recent was an SKB hard shell with the pull out handle and rollers. It lasted me three summers before the straps broke, which isn't nearly good enough considering what I paid. It was awkward on uneven terrain, tough getting up and down stairs, and of course ungodly heavy. This Gator case is everything the description and positive reviews say it is. Even though it's soft, the nylon is really tough and I have no doubt will stand up to plenty of abuse. The design is ingenious. It stands solidly upright whether full or empty, making loading and unloading a breeze. The frame is solid metal and the wheels are large enough to not get caught on rocks, ribbed truck beds, uneven floors, etc. I have to get this thing in and out of a pickup truck and the well placed handles on the front and bottom make that as easy as it can be. Along with all that, there are pockets all over to put your smaller items in so they don't get torn up rattling around with your big hardware. I love this case. My guitar player even commented on what a smart design it is...so there you go...it's such a great case that a guitar player noticed. ... show more

Bag is durable and well padded. It's also big enough for most of my hardware. Some hardware may be too big for the bag without completely disassembling it. It can also get difficult to carry if there's too much in it, or if the sizes of the contents allow the bag to bend. If I upgrade, I will probably go with a longer bag/case with at least one hard side and with wheels. ... show more

I love it. Great quality (everything Gator makes is good quality). I really like the padded interior and padded tie down straps. The wheels are like rollerblade wheels, not cheap plastic ones. I looked at many other options and brands before getting this. Nothing else had consistently good reviews, except for hard cases (and I didn’t want a hard case). It’s perfect to carry all the hardware for my acoustic cajón kit (hihat stand, small cymbal stand, bongo stand, djembe stand, 2 small gator mic stands, and large gator boom mic stand). If you gig with a drum kit with more than 3 or 4 full-size stands you’ll want the larger size 46”x18” bag. ... show more

This is simply the best hardware bag I've ever used. I've tried a Kaces bag that gave up on me after a year's use and then went cheap and went to Academy sporting goods and bought a Plano brand pastic trunk/case with wheels, but that only lasted me about a year and half before the wheels started breaking off. I finally decided to use some gig money and got this guy. WOW. I was a little worried that after starting to stack, or more like stand up my stands in the bag that it was going to tip over because it leans back. Nope. With all my stands, attachments, bags and other misc hardware, this stand stands straight up and rolls so easily. Now I don't have to keep bending over to pack my stands after a gig, I can just start stading them up in this stand-up bag. All of the pockets are very handy and the zippers appear/feel to be quite sturdy. There are even some straps on the back side where I place my rolled-up rug. All-in-all, this bag is everything I had hoped for and then some. Free shipping is also great from Amazon, and it arrived when they said it would...which was just in time for a Friday night gig. I recommend any drummer looking for a more sturdy, more reliable hardware bag to give this one a shot. I doubt anyone could be disappoinged with this. ... show more

I am revising my previous review after a summer of gigging . Its no longer an OK bag . I should have read the other reviews about the bag dragging and towing being awkward. They are correct . In order not to drag the bag you have to tow in almost upright angle . Not cool for hauling hardware. unless your 7 feet tall . After dragging it several times . i lost hardware because of tears in the fabric. Looking for duct tape . I submitted a warranty claim directly to Gator . Lets see what they are willing to do . I would like to get a more sturdy hardware case . The reason I got this bag was to make one trip. Hardware bag in one arm , Ludwig Questlove Kit on the handcart in another. Was looking for a case for my telescope and the Orion cases were a rip off. The dimensions of this case fit the telescope and I liked the fact that there was some padding. When I received it, it worked well, although the padding is a little thinner than I thought it would be. Material is good and seems like it will last a long time. Overall it is a quality product.
