I used to get the jigsaw puzzles by Crocodile Creek and found them rather expensive. But my kids (toddler and kindergartener) would do them over and over again and they would hold up so the prices were somewhat justified. I came across these which were a good upward progression from the 74 piece ones they currently had. They were cheaper and just as cute. Yay! To top it off, these glow in the dark. The application that allows the glow in the dark functionality adds texture to the puzzle pieces which i was glad to have my older one point out to me. The image projected in the dark is also slightly different. It is not that obvious in the photo, for example, the owl has his eyes closed in the "normal" puzzle and open when it is dark and glowing. That made my kids really excited and added a nice learning touchpoint for them with nocturnal animals like owls. ... show more

Super fun puzzle for 5 year old (and up) hands. Pieces are pretty sturdy. Colors are beautiful. Loved taking into a dark room to see it glow in the dark and picking out what changed in the scene! Kept our child busy for almost an hour. The only slightly negative thing (and does not relate to the actual puzzle) is that I wish the box was a little sturdier. I think after opening and closing the lid a few more times, the box will fall apart. We’ve already added more of these mudpuppy puzzles to our cart! ... show more

I love it! It was easy to put together and fun to look at in the dark. I'm not sure if I need to activate it a bit more, because all of the parts don't glow as clearly as in the example - but it's still worth the purchase.
